Smarter vegas has discounted Lion King Tickets.
Although the reduced price is only off the more expensive tickets.

I know this is a personal choice, but in my opinion, once you have been to Circus Circus,Riviera and Sahara once, you have no need to go back.
Like I say personal preference, but I wouldn't recommend trips to any of these hotels.
Time is precious in Vegas, and there are plenty of nicer places to be.I hope I haven't offended anyone who likes these hotels, wouldn't do if we all liked the same things now, would it.
We go back to Vegas on Monday, and I was just working out that we will need to leave home at 5am,and will probably arrive at our hotel at 3am next morning ( british time)....22 hours on the go.

    you will be fine .

we have had this discussion in the past . it feels a little uneasy walking up there , but the reality is probably that it is perfectly safe .

we have walked around the Peppermill area, Sahara and Bonanza without problems after dark , and we wandered a few blocks away from Downtown last trip as well . i would just follow sensible precautions and not have anything that could be snatched or flash money and jewelry. sticking close with other groups of tourists is also a good idea .

don't know what it is about the area between Bonanza and Stratosphere but i just always feel quite edgy when walking it .

We walked from Peppermill to Sahara at 2 or 3 am once (it looked waaay closer than it was)...we weren't overly comfortable but it wasn't dire. I agree that most places are probably pretty safe, we also don't like venturing much past the canopy downtown. In general I agree that as long as you use some degree of common sense it will probably be fine.

We did once take the monorail to Sahara and walked over to the Strat for dinner...other than downtown a few blocks from the canopy, that's the most uncomfortable I've felt.

Brats64 - overall I agree with you...sometimes we do find ourselves visiting Sahara and Riviera when we're in the eara for another reason, but we'd never go to them for the sake of going to them. Not to say that some might really like the places though, I agree to each their own and all. :)

When ordering tickets do you put your address (uk) or something else?

We always use our UK address - some have had trouble with some ticketmaster sales with a UK address but it's been OK for us. I had at one time assumed the address had to match the address for your CC but have since been told that's not always the case...no idea if it's true or not.

We have stayed at the Stratosphere 3 times and we go back for our 4th in 3 weeks time , and we have walked everywhere including , downtown , hilton ,ellis island and terribles , and the whole of the strip , day and night , and have never encountered a problem.
Normal streetwise rules apply , dont sling a £500 camera on your shoulder , dont have a bulging bum bag on display , and dont be drunk.

    You will be fine.

I was going to do Riviera ,Sahara and Strat and then get a taxi back.....the only reason is because on our previous 2 trips the furthest we'd ventured on foot was Fashion show mall....passed them on the deuce but not stopped off

Ok I think you will be fine, a lot of walking though.

Not much to see in the Riviera

same applies to the Sahara, of course there is Speed the ride

The Strat is worth going to if you are going up the tower

You'll be fine. Me and DH go up to Strat occasionally on a night when we are there. I wouldn't venture past the Strat though, it is rather dodgy, as confirmed by our 6 foot 4 Mr T lookalike limo driver Roy when we went to get our marriage licence.
Best about it was that it was our first time in Vegas and the Virgin Holiday Rep told everybody that you could walk safely to Freemont Street from the Strip at Midnight and it would only take about 5 mins:eek:
TBH the only time I have felt uncomfortable was when we went up to Strat and was walking past the petrol station on the left just before, and a fella lifted up a sheet of white paper that had wacky baccy satays on it. Apart from that, nothing to worry about. It's like everywhere you go, just use your common sense.

We're going to LV on the 6th and I've been looking for 'O' tickets for Cirque du Soliel. I found Mystere and Ka but not 'O' ! Is it still on at the Bellagio or has it gone now?

Really wanted to see it and may be too late now......
