SeptemberGo and see Terry Factor at the Mirage. We are just back from vegas yesterday and we saw him and the Lion King and he was fantastic, your husband will love him. We stayed at the Mirage as well, hugely recommended, just the best hotel on the strip IMO, not too expensive, lots going on and great places to eat, as well as a great pool!!The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

AprilHi All,
Me and few pals (all males in mid 20's) are going to Vegas next Tuesday.
Obviosuly read many reviews on here on what the best clubs etc... are. However i know they are very exclusive especially to letting in groups of males and pretty expensive.
Does anyone know of some good smaller accommodating clubs dotted about the strip where we literally wont have to wait hours in the que and spend shed loads on drinks?
Cheers

SeptemberThanks that's really helpful. I'm pleased to find someone else who loves The Signature! I think I like the fact that it is a bit smaller so you get more personal service, don't have to wait ages for reception, concierge, taxi etc and we have always got a sun lounger right by the pool which for some bizarre reason is really important to me. The walk to the strip doesn't really put me off as we tend to walk up East Harmon Ave. That said, we did stay at Planet Hollywood for one night (long story) and I did like being central, but wouldn't stay there again.
I hope you manage to get a discount - I'm sure something will appear for September. Might it be worth e-mailing the hotel to ask what they can do for September? They seem keen to get people booked so may be prepared to extend the offer and you can always rebook if something better comes up.
I am still on the look out for one of the percentage discount codes that were available a while back (stupid me for not using them then!) so if anyone gets one I'd really appreciate a heads up.I could go on forever but I wont bore you!
We have got the rooms for $99 a night already appart from the Fri Sat there a little higher we used the BST10 code (thanks Luci) so its only the $50 drinks were missing but we will keep our eye out. We may give them a ring got nothing to loose I suppose.
Am so excited I cant wait till Sept
PS - When you get back I need an update on the Signature going on's haha!0 -

I think the Ghost bar in Palms is free to get in before 9, same as the Voodoo lounge in Rio, bu then you are stuck in there all night. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. AprilIn a word NO. The strip is all about sucking as much money as they can out of the young Southern California crowd, and they do it very well. You will find masive lines at ALL of the clubs on the strip almost every night. There is a night where the locals get in cheap I think it's Mondays, then Tuesdays is Industry night for those that work in the casinos etc. Wednesday nights a lot of the clubs are shut, then it's the big build up. Massive 2 hour waits to get in, lines right through the casinos, it always looks a nightmare to me.

Thought that would be the case...
I'm assuming you can tip the doorman to get in?
any ideas on how much this would be and then would you need to pay an entrance fee?0 -
MarchI'm not sure we're much of a clubbing group here
I have read about services that will guarantee you entry but I think it's expensive. Male groups are the majority and it won't be cheap-you're competing against conventioneers who can charge clubbing costs as entertainment expenses when attending confrences/entertaining clients
Is there no advice on TripAdvisor ?
here are few/no bargains clubbing in Vegas though.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I think its great too!!!
Try booking thru LSI as they often have very different offers from the MGM site.....often they are on Travelzoo.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

In the 2009 Vegas thread, there was "someone who knew someone" who was able to organise clubbing, and I think it included queue jumping too. Have a look there.....or was it 2008....Im sure one of the other regs will recall this too.illegitimi non carborundum0
