Many years ago (late 80's) My parents brought back from LV sets of cancelled (by cutting a small hole in the cards) playing cards that were given out for free. They were nice to have and I still fondly remember playing with the Ceasars packs. Does anyone know if this still happens?

    :)

I have several packs mostly from Downtown casinos but also the Riviera -that were all free when you signed up for the casino's player club

  • Anyone know any deals for O at the Bellagio in May? We'll be in Vegas for 11th May-15th. The only deals I can see are for shows in April - or would there unlikely to be any money off as it's busier in May?

Does anyone have any particular restaurant recommendations? I would like to go somewhere really nice for one night with a view - I'm thinking the Mix @ Mandalay Bay, Alize or Top of the World?

I'm also in LA for 6 nights after my 5 nights in Vegas. Since i've booked it i'm hearing alot of negatives about LA. We have booked a convertible and plan to spend a night in San Diego. Not to go too much off topic, but are there more interesting places to drive to in/around LA, if the actual city itself isn't too nice? I want to stop at San Clemente/Oceanside on way up/down to San Diego, but she would rather bomb it and spend more time in the city itself!

IMHO Top of the World is vastly overpriced. If you are going for the experience and the view then fine, but manage your expectations on the food...we were terribly disappointed and we're not overly picky.

We fly home today. I'm sad. I hate this part of the trip, though I'm really looking forward to seeing the cats so there is that. It's been a good trip...not great gambling wise but my hubby set a record for us last night - 240 free spins on a multiple retriggering bonus round - one the Queen slots at Encore. Win was about $325 so not mind blowing, but a very, very nice end to his trip. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    hi

just got an email to say my flight times have changed

bmi have changed my flight from dublin to heathrow to make it arrive 2 hours later than when we originally booked it so this only leaves us 35 mins in heathrow to collect our bags, and travel from terminal 1 to terminal 5 and check in again!

yikes this is never gona work! on the phone to expedia atm - have been holding for 10mins so far - do they have to do anything? i booked both flights 2gether through expedia as one deal!

*edit* on the phone there for 27mins and they have decided someone will call me back to discuss my booking as they will have to look into it! pls pray that i get someone who speaks fluent english! i cant be bothered repeating evyer last word i say so the person at the other end can understand me!

Where would you / anyone recommend? Am considering a multitude of things to do this time around, a tacky wedding to celebrate mine and the OH's CP and a nice meal (by nice I'm thinking somewhere with good food and a good view; I'd considered TotW and Eiffel Tower Restaurant). I'm not sure how much I should spend but would like decent food in a nice environment.

We are trying Alize next month as it comes highly recommended on TA by many people as it is always the restaurant suggested when someone wants a really special meal.

The comments for TOTW and ET are that they are overpriced for average food and you are paying for the view and not the food.
