Thanks duchy - I thought I was going a bit mad there. :)

here's the video of one of my hubby's bonus rounds (it starts well and then fizzles a bit).

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfYHn9wjbeY

I had one last night where I had done pretty well and decided to have a couple of spins at max bet ($2.40) to play down to an even number - on the 2nd of my 2 spins I got the bonus and nearly had a heart attack. I was sure I was going to win $200+...only got $57 which I was grateful for, but still disappointed.

Also, Sex in the City is my new Hot Shots (i.e. crack). I hate the show, but the slot seems to be pretty friendly to me. It's one of the ones where you can play up to 4 games at once. I normally do not like those machines as I feel you either lose 4x as fast or bet less per game than you normally would - but since SitC is new, I have never played it before except with all 4 games ($2.00 spin which is a lot more than I normally play). They are popping up several places - they just put some in at Encore overnight - have them at Wynn and a few other places.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

query of what on earth bottle at Vegas clubs includes

am I right that it gets you a table in a club and one bottle of spirit say vodka plus mixers between 3 or 4 people max for about $350-$450 dollars? is that really all it is?! if you walk away from table (to dance floor) you can lose your table?
  • No you don't lose your table. The table is yours for as long as you are drinking.

Bottle service is as you describe - a reserved table and 1 bottle of whatever you order including some mixers and someone to come and lay it all out for you and serve you if you want anything else.

It can work out not so bad value with the benefit of a private reserved table.
The Head Honcho (does very little work)

You are supposed to tip your server too, so add at least 15% on top of what they charge.

Hey guys, just want to thank people for posting good offers and just updates on their Vegas trips.

I am going out on the 15th Sep for a week with 5 other mates. This will be my 2nd time in Vegas and i cant wait.

We used the crazy 8's offer for the MGM so its worked out about £200 per person. The cheapest / most decent flight from Manchester was a 15hour duration 1 stop for £499.97 which i didnt think was too bad considering most of the offers.

We are thinking about renting a car when we are over there and maybe making a possible trip to LA, anyone advise me on if youve done this before?

Anyway guys cheers for all the info.

    Regards

    Mark
just back from LA Today , we stayed in hollywood, a bit of dump really, dont think it is really worth a visit. went to universal one day, santa monica and venice beaches another day - cycling which was good fun and then to manhatten beach before our flight home which was very nice but apart from museums and other parks not much to do so wouldnt recommend unless you had something specific to go and see. This was the last part of our trip aftert las vegas and san diego.

    Classic Room in Roman Tower.

    WARNING WARNING WARNING

IMHO you can get much better rooms elsewhere for half the cost.

id originally booked these rooms but after reading other peoples comments on them changed the hotel as the prices had gone up astronomically to upgrade. Stayed in treasure island and they were lovely rooms overlooking the strip but Ceasars Palace was my favourite hotel and would have loved to have stayed there.
