    The good

I know it wasn't Virgins fault but the people on board were screaming and shouting at the stewards and it was nasty to see.

I always find Virgin are awful at the whole boarding process. I used to regularly fly Virgin from Manchester to Orlando but the flights were getting more and more like something from 'Shameless' and the boarding was atrocious! It totally put me off flying Virgin, plus the fact their prices seem to be getting higher all the time.

Going to the US in September and my group and another are meeting up in Vegas. What's the best (and relatively cheapest) way of finding somewhere to stay for 5 people, preferably in the same room?

You'll likely find that 2 room will be cheaper - if you find a room that sleeps 5 people (may be 2 queens and a roll-away) you'll probably get charged about $90 extra per night for the 3 people over double occupancy...unless some of the people are children in which case some hotels don't charge the extra person fee - but some do. You could request adjoining rooms most places - it won't be guaranteed though.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

If you don't mind staying off strip I've stayed at Summer Bay Resort, which is a short walk to the strip, and I know that they do two bedroom suites priced reasonably(sometimes better if you contact the hotel direct). I think both bedrooms had King sized beds and I believe the rooms have a pull out sofa bed, which seems of a decent quality. It's also handy as they have kitchens, and a minibus service that takes you for groceries and also to different points on the strip. It was nice to get a break from eating out and being able just to make some food yourself, as sometimes I personally get a bit sick of eating American food!

I'm sure it's been posted before somewhere, but I can't find it! I'm after a site that lists up coming concerts events in Vegas keeping an eye out for anything exciting., Cheers

Not sure if this is different episode to the one I posted a few months back or if its a repeat but if I remember right Neil Morrisey narrated the other episode so thats whats making me think it might be different. Apologies if its just a repeat!

  • Well I just changed my Bellagio booking as I could get a suite in Palazzo for the smae money (~$150 a night). I wanted to stay in the Bellagio just because I know my girlfriend wants to have stayed there just once, but when much nicer rooms are on offer across the street for the same money, I cannot justify it :)

Thanks Ferf, annoying though, that is... what a shame I can't grab a card and retrospectively sign up. Never mind, the email offers it will have to be for us, for now...

Sign up for the various Harrah's hotels on twitter. There are often offers on there that are cheaper than the email offers.
