Junewhy not renew your vows? its not that expensive out there.
TBH I cant see an airline upgrading you unless your willing to pay.
Husband is against renewing vows! (hmmm!!!!) so unfortunately I think that's out. Upgrade - exactly my feelings - though it did happen on our honeymoon!0 -

Even if you don't get an upgrade on your plane, be sure to mention that its your 10th anniversary upon check-in alongside the usual trick rules - might work towards getting you an extra special room.Comping since oct 09' === October wins : Vodkat Cocktail Kit, £50 bonkers!, Peroni Bottle Opener x 2, Brit Chicks Merchandise
November wins : Peroni Bottle Opener x 2, Ocean's 13 DVD, Monsters Vs Aleins DVD, £5 Voucher0 -

Thats funny, I asked my Wife if she wanted to renew our vows last year in Vegas and she turned me down flat... lol
Not gonna bother asking this year.

MayHI All,
Just wondered if anyone has any good ideas on things to do on my trip to Vegas in June to make it more memorable for my husband. We're celebrating our 10th anniversary and would like to do something special. We're staying at Encore so I'm thinking maybe a bottle of champagne in the room etc (will try for plane upgrade but probably have cat in hells chance!) - but if anyone has any better ideas, I'd be very grateful! Thanks!
Its our 10th anniversary when we go at the end of May, we have booked a table at Alize, we also thought about re newing our vows but don't think it will happen!!0 -
MarchWould just like to thank all regular posters on here. Just back from my first trip, 1 week in Vegas. Spent weeks reading and taking tips from you well informed people!
Room upgrade at check in worked a treat ended up with fab fountain view room at Bellagio. Husband had no faith in me, but I insisted he gave it a go and he couldn't believe it!:T
Very useful info on shows, eating out etc. Saw Lionel Ritchie at Ceasars, brilliant.
Having now been I can relate to more of your posts that didn't mean too much to me before not knowing the area.
Checked out most hotels, so we know where we'd like to stay next time lol :rotfl:
Thanks again guys your info really added to our weeks enjoyment. Can't wait to go again:j0 -
MayHarrah's are starting an all day buffet deal in April, $29.99 for 24 hours. However, for what I can gather, this one isn't going to be limited to eating at the same buffet during the 24 hours. You will be able to eat at the buffet of any Harrah's hotel:-
Harrah's
Paris
Rio
Caesars
Flamingo
Planet Hollywood
Imperial Palace
I really like Harrah's and the Spice Market for breakfast. Not really a lover of buffets for dinner, but again Harrah's is quite good.
You could make the most of it if you started with a late breakfast around 10ish, a mid-afternoon snack, late dinner and an early breakfast next day. Or start with a late dinner and end with an early dinner if you are really cheap!0 -
Nice to see the Vegas thread mentioned in Martins email.
Its the best travel thread on MSE in my opinion :T0 -

I missed that, but I think this thread deserves a medal.
Thanks to Martin for mentioning it. Perhaps we can have a Martin's mega meet in Vegas one of these days, courtesy of this thread.0 -

SeptemberThe Harrah's buffet looks great (is Ballys not included though?)
Needing a spot of help: second week of September, we're off for 10 days (post Civil Partnership 'holiday'). The Mrs has booked the Encore for our 2nd 5 days, so I need something mid/south-mid strip (not as far south as Mandalay Bay) that's going to wow her... Bellagio doesn't appeal and she doesn't fancy MGM either. Was thinking of the Spa Suite at NYNY - any other recommendations?0
