    Hi,

This is probably been asked before (apologies if so), I done a quick search but could not find the answers to my questions, I also had a look on the Restaurant.com website.

I am looking to purchase a $50 Restaurant.com voucher (Strip Steak) for my trip to Vegas in April.

The only T&C's I can find for booking the voucher for Strip Steak is:

Minimum 2 entrees. 18% Gratuity added prior to discount. Valid with 2 Prix Fixe dinners. Excludes tax and gratuity.

    However my questions are:
    • Do I need to book a table in advance or can I just turn up on the day with my voucher without a reservation?
    • How long is the voucher valid for?
Many thanks for any help / answers that can be provided.

I don't think that you need a reservation unless you're going at a very busy time. I've not been to that particular restaurant though.

The certificates last for 12 months from date of purchase.

I also have a restaurant.com certificate for Stripsteak. I booked online a couple of days ago as we want to go on a Friday night at 8pm.

You may need to make a reservation is you want to eat at prime time, say between 7-8pm, especially at the weekend, but mid-week and earlier or later should be OK.

We went to the Cortez Room at the Gold Coast without a reservation at about 6.30pm and they couldn't accommodate us until 8pm so we played the slots until then.

As pebbles says, the certificate is valid for 12 months from purchase.

Remember to use the code "COOK" at check out to get 80% off, it will only cost you $4 instead of $20. The code expires today.

Crashed out before finishing the trippie

The next day was an off Strip day mostly.
Friends took me to breakfast at an off Strip place that was Teddy bear themed-was somewhere up out past the Orleans -food was great and very very reasonable. If anyone wants the name/address let me know. Definitely worth a visit. Then on to Walmart, Target, Ross for less again -and yes I needed to buy a second suitcase LOL
Next stop was the Suncoast as we had tickets for the Osmond Brothers show there (line up was Wayne Merrill Jay and Jimmy for those who remember). I guess if you want to gamble and play golf and don't care for the Strip it's an ideal hotel-lovely rooms, reasonable golf course, casino is OK and most guests are seniors but it's a 25 minute drive to the Strip (or $40 cab ride) there is a shuttle but it's quite infrequent and on the way back from the Strip stops at the airport first so takes much longer. Show however was good . We had planned on getting a cab back afterwards but were informed it would take 15-30 mins to get one out there so caught the shuttle with panicking friend who had tickets for Love-shuttle dropped us at the Trop so she grabbed a cab to the Mirage from there and made it with 5 minutes to spare -Phew. I walked from the Tropicana back to the Flamingo-dropped offmy shopping at the Flamingo-played for a bit then headed for Bills as I hadn't heard from friends I was supposed to meet (turns out some poor soul at the Flamingo had got all thier messages for me where to meet in another room)
With one of those cosmic twists of fate I was seated in the Victorian room and my friends had been seated 5 minutes earlier at a table two across so we got together for dinner and then hit the casinos-ended up at Caesers and had a lot of fun.
Next morning we met up for a final breakfast at Paris (handily between our two hotels as they were at the Monte Carlo which they weren't impressed with -had 3 room changes but it was only $50 for weekend nights).
Flamingo gave me check out at noon so gave my bags to the bell and played a few last spins before heading out for my Delta 3pm flight to Mineapolis and on to Heathrow. This is a great connection and the transatlantic is rarely fully booked-assoon as the door was closed I moved from my emergency row seat to an empty middle row and had 3 seats so stretched out and slept most of the way home-then hopped on a normal bus to Feltham at T4 (£1 with Oyster £2 without) to Feltham station and a fast train to Waterloo then onto another train home to Kent. Much nicer than the underground into London and faster-this route into London is really under advertised.

Forgot to say on my way out I used another poorly advertised route from Medway to Gatwick run by Excel -cost was the same as the train but included a cab from my house to the pick up point and dropped at both terminals so a big plus if travelling from the North with the shuttle currently not running.

This wasn't a traditional Vegas trip but more to do with meeting up with friends and catching shows together but hopefully there's a few good pointers in there that are useful :)

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    HI All,
Just wondered if anyone has any good ideas on things to do on my trip to Vegas in June to make it more memorable for my husband. We're celebrating our 10th anniversary and would like to do something special. We're staying at Encore so I'm thinking maybe a bottle of champagne in the room etc (will try for plane upgrade but probably have cat in hells chance!) - but if anyone has any better ideas, I'd be very grateful! Thanks!

The 'Top Of The World' restaurant at the Stratosphere and the restaurant at the Eiffel Tower are both considered to be romantic hotspots, if a little pricey. I suppose it depends on what type of couple you are as to whether they appeal :)

I might have to get that, I think I posted before that while they are "nice" they are way to expensive, but for half price I may be tempted again.

For anyone interested in the above..NOTE it is not valid at casino location..only off strip (and it is a long way off strip)

Definately that type of a couple! Will look up the prices - thank you. Eiffel tower probably second choice though - had been thinking about Stratosphere myself.

    Thanks
