Just arrived back from a week in LV. The first time and it was brilliant. Weather good, two days able to sunbathe for a while. Stayed in a timeshare exchange, The Carriage House but also used as an hotel. Very good accommodation, as you would expect from timeshare. No casino in the hotel which was a bonus as didn't have to tramp through one to get to room. Small place compared with the rest of the strip but really well positioned, just a block away from the Bellagio and near to shops and restaurants.
Atlanta airport was a nightmare, took 2 hours 30 minutes to get through to our transfer to LV and will never use this airport again. Worth paying to have a direct flight.
Took the shuttle bus to Carriage House at $6.50 each but going back to airport got taxi who charged $10.50 and only took 10 minutes to get there.
Went to see Love at The Mirage and was the best money spent of the whole week. Whether you are a Beatle's fan or not you will not be disappointed. Don't bother with the front seats, you get a better view from the 2nd zone as things happen above your head! Paid $192 for two people using the TIX 4 U who give you discounts. Wanted to go and see Terry Fator as he has had fantastic reviews but could not get the discounted tickets, left it too late.
We were told not to venture out between Circus Circus and The Stratosphere at night as not a good neighbourhood and must admit not the best of places. Circus Circus looked very tired indeed and they have closed one of the towers down. Went to Fremont Street and that was great.
Got around with a Deuce ticket for 3 days at $15 each but don't catch one if you have to be anywhere at a certain time! Took 2 hours to get from Planet Hollywood to Fremont and back!
We did find discount coupons and books and used them. Watch out for senior rates at restaurants and shops as their seniors can be as young as 50! Best buffet, Spice Market buffet at Planet Hollywood, I searched for coupons online and managed to find $5 off per person. Loved the Dennys for breakfast but the best meal was at Binnion's steakhouse on the the 24th floor at Fremont Street. The meal wasn't cheap but the view over the strip was stupendous. Get there before it goes dark and watch the strip come to life.
Dislikes - yes there are some, weary feet, distances are deceptive and the touts giving away cards for ladies of the night! They even try and give you them if you are in a couple.
Will be going again but next time for longer as didn't bother with trips outside LV.

    Guys,

Am trying to book tickets for Ray Romano & Kevin James at the Mirage in November. Could anyone recommend a website and what seats are best?

Great review ecclesto! Glad you enjoyed it.

We will be back at the Carriage House in May. We really enjoyed it even if it isn't as fancy as some of the strip hotels. It felt really homely.

We are thinking about seeing Terry Fator again, but I think I will wait until the 20% (25%?) off tickets are released for our dates rather than muck about with T4T. Their discount is about the same, but only for Section 3 seats.

The Ace Gold starts in 4 weeks.

The 108 Paradise no longer goes to the Premium Outlets so it looks like we will have to use the Ace.

Not sure what the fare is yet as it only lists for the Deuce, but it may be the same.

Possibly best to book direct through the box office as there are not many dates - so not sure how many discounts there are likely to be?

It's in the Terry Fator theatre which is pretty small - really not any terrible seats in there - closer to the centre is probably best if they use the same stage set-up as Fator (I assume that they do) but we had seats pretty close to the side aisle and they were fine.

Looks like it is the same as the Deuce

The timing thing is one of the biggest reasons I won't take the Deuce...but if the new Ace service is quicker - I might consider taking it to Fremont Street (there's a collective gasp from some who know how much I try to avoid buses on holiday). A taxi can be really expensive (about $50 return including tip from mid-strip last time we did it) and I don't really like taking the car out in the evening as while I'm not a big drinker at all, if I'm downtown I get sucked into the strawberry daquiris. :) As it stands, we just don't go downtown in the evening as we won't stay long enough to justify the taxi fare.

Thanks to the link to the FAQ's ferff. I looked at the fares link and it wasn't mentioned there. Didn't think about the FAQ's.

Sure - I only found it as I was trying to see if there was somewhere it said what estimated journey times would be. Ultimately it's still going straight up and down the Strip - so while having less stops will make it faster than the Deuce, I still wonder how long it will take at peak hours without bus lanes and all that.
