JulyThis is a LONG post - however, I know that a lot of people on this forum (including myself) have wondered what happened to the One Roam sim cards that were excellent when used in Vegas.
I received this email this morning and must admit that I havent looked too deeply into it yet - but thought I would post to make you guys aware. Sorry for long post!!

Dear valued customer,
I am delighted to announce that GO-SIM Limited has acquired Oneroam, and with effect from 1st March 2010 will be providing ongoing airtime services and support to all Oneroam's customers.
GO-SIM is one of the world's leading providers of international SIM cards and airtime services. With centres of operation in the UK and US, GO-SIM is headquartered in York, England, and has an enviable reputation for providing first class levels of customer service and support.
With the change of ownership, my personal aim is to ensure the integration of all Oneroam's customers into the GO-SIM family as seamlessly as possible. In turn we promise that you will receive all the benefits of Oneroam, enhanced with several additional benefits from GO-SIM. Indeed, if your SIM card is not working or you have lost it, please contact us for a replacement.
Although most aspects of your usage will remain unchanged, there will be a small number of changes that you need to be aware of. We will do our utmost to ensure any inconvenience is minimised, however, we appreciate that there may be some initial requirement for you to confirm that you wish to continue with the service. These are detailed at the end of this letter.
To welcome you to an improved user experience, we'd like to offer you a bonus airtime credit of $20 per SIM card. This will automatically be applied to your account the next time that you top-up online at www.gosim.com/oneroam.
After reading the information below, if you have any further questions then please feel free to contact us. After all, we are here to help you enjoy your travels overseas, provide a great service, and above all save as much money as possible!
Yours sincerely,
David Agar
CEO
GO-SIM Limited
The new Oneroam service from GO-SIM - what remains unchanged?
1. Your mobile number.
- Any 'follow me' additional number you may have set up.
- The total number of countries your SIM card will operate in.
- Services available: voice, SMS, GPRS data.
- Your prepaid account balance.
- Any unused airtime will not expire.
- Any existing user name/password should still work.
The new Oneroam service from GO-SIM - what will change?
- You will need to go to www.mygosim.com to access your online portal. Here you can manage your account, your SIM card functionality, add airtime, view call records, request additional services (including GO-SIM's Voice2Email service), set up reports and user/balance alerts etc.
- Your tariff will change. Thankfully, in nearly all cases, GO-SIM's charges will be similar or below the rates you have been previously charged. This extends to data and to texts (these can be sent for a little as 9p each from anywhere in the world). There are also no connected call charges.
- The airtime base currency will now be in USD rather than EUR. This is because GO-SIM has specially negotiated rates which are more competitive in USD than in EUR. However, you can still pay in GBP or a range of other currencies, meaning that you will not be incurring any exchange rate conversion charges imposed by your credit card company.
- Support - we are pleased to announce that we provide support 24/7, 7 days a week. This comprises of our call centre, online ticket system, online Live Support.
- Our SIM cards and other services, available at www.gosim.com will also differ. We have a wider range of products (SIM cards, handsets, data dongles and accessories), plus our airtime top-up products will be in different denominations.
- GO-SIM's standard terms and conditions can be found at:
http://www.gosim.com/index.php?page=terms
- Our guarantee of your satisfaction! If you are unhappy about any aspect of the GO-SIM service.we really want you to tell us, so we can do something about it.

Most offers you just have to pay for the first night, and check to see if fully refundable0 -
Just a word of warning for anyone thinking of making a reservation at the Platinum Hotel - if you do decide to cancel, expect to wait a long time for your deposit to be refunded.
I cancelled our reservation 11 DAYS ago, still no money back. They tell me they have issued the refund but my CC provider has no record of this. If they don't get it sorted out by tomorrow I will ask my CC company to deal with it. Got a feeling they have issued the refund to a different CC number (not mine).
OK, refund now received, after several email reminders.0 -

I had this email, was quite interested until I saw the call charges - £1.70 per minute from USA to UK. Please, someone tell me I'm being stupid and missing something.0 -

I am correct in thinking someone on here has some U.S. POI's for TomTom by the way? I can't remember who so shout out and let me know!I'll try and get it sorted so they're downloadable from the first post (plus i wouldn't mind having them myself!
