Agreed it'll work-just make sure both names are on the reservation at check in (or when he arrives if later). If you arrive together there should be no issue with putting his card on the room rather than yours
I have a friend who does this for others at Harrah's properties fairly often with comped rooms (He moved to Vegas but still gets offered comped stays for tournaments so shares).

Nothing between the top end ones pricewise.

Yep, some good rates for the top end hotels and really cheap rates for the lower end if you are on a budget.

It's a good time to try out one of the high end hotels at a reasonable price.

I have booked the Aria, but hoping the price drops or there is another offer before May.

We're going to Vegas for the first time 14-21st April and staying at the Encore for my hubby's 30th and out first wedding anniversary. Any ideas how we can get a room upgrade?

Probably by paying for it at check in. I don't think I've read of anyone getting at free upgrade at the Encore.

Don't worry, you will be more than happy with the room at the Encore.
