January , FebruaryBoa - SO sorry to hear about your disaster! I really feel for you and your family. Absolute nightmare. I reallly hope you can salvage something out of this horrible situation.
Poor you - you have my heartfelt sympathies.
Hope you get a refund on those tickets.
Steff
Thanks Steff. I called TI and they were very good and refunded the Mystere tickets no problem. So really just down on the Taxis to/from the airport and £68 on the car hire. I may get some back from the travel insurance, not sure if they will count car hire as 'travel costs' - and there is a £60 excess.
Oh, I also bought the US map for my TomTom in the sale, but can use this in the future I'm sure.
I am going to wait to get the flight refund back on the credit card then book with Virgin for August (school hols I know). I'll likely go through NHS discounts and get 2% discount.
I have $1560 dollars, so may just hang onto them - be interesting to see what they do in the meantime.
Still feeling pretty let-down, but off for a couple of days in Bristol (No. 1 Son applying there for Uni) so we'll do some sights and dining!
I'll get the family out their somehow! The force is strong in this one!0 -
MarchFares in August drop dramatically around the 21st-23rd August if you can squeeze it in right before school goes back.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
