Thanks for that, I have never stayed at CP and as I always book cheapest room and hope for upgrade, I probably never will, that photo is SHOCKING. It was only taken a few nobths ago.
Indeed. I usually compare it to a Holiday Inn, but all the bumpf theyve been sending me recently implies that theyve just done up all the Holiday Inns, so Caesars Classic is now below HI.
That review is right - the room they dont show. I wonder why they devalue the Caesars brand by putting people in it, and giving them the chance to experience that tat......I suspect it has put a few people here of Caesars already, especially when you can get a great room at the bottom of the ladder in many other hotels.....Mirage, Venetian and Signature all spring to mind as Ive stayed in their cheapest rooms, and all of them I would return to without hesitation.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
In fact, you know how you always take a photo of the room to show your friends when you get back, unsurprisingly, Caesars Classic is absent!!!illegitimi non carborundum0

January , FebruaryBoa21's Trip Report
Checked-in on-line late last night, so all boarding cards printed and ready to go!
Mrs Boa21 checks the Vegas weather (sunny, up to 20c next week)
Up bright and early for the cab to the airport (04:50). Cab arrives nicely on-time at 05:45. On the way have to show the driver that the air-con button actually demists the inside of the car (ho hum), stops for petrol - fine!. Start getting worried when we can't actually see out of the windscreen due to the salt build-up - no water in the washer bottle (ho ho hum).
Still arrive safely at Gatwick about 06:10 (live quite close) and head for the Delta check-in (now you just know this is just going to end badly don't you!). Told by a helpful airport worker - that flights cancelled, snow in Atlanta (thought is must mean Atlantic city or somesuch)
Arrive at Delta desk, sign saying closed but two harrassed looking ladies dealing with a couple of people in front. Show them my boarding cards, which throws them for a bit! Sorry, flight is cancelled and handed a printed letter apologising at saying to call Delta (they have no access to alternatives). 0845 number (bar stewards), but not open until 07:00.
07:00 call Delta number. First available option is for Monday unless I fancy a trip to Minneapolis and no further (wear the fox hat!) , suggest we call Expedia as our booking is actually KLM (codeshare). So, call Expedia, twice, three times. Eventually get a call back from lady clearly just been assigned our 'case'. Just get me to Vegas today or tomorrow!.
Over the next couple of hours calls me from time to time and the best option is a Heathrow flight tomorrow for an extra £1,000 - no thank you. Suggests we head home and she'll call me later.
Calls about 11:30 and we spend sometime going through options. I was trying to follow on the internet, but good old Virgin media decides to throw a wobbly (Thanks Richard, but I can't afford your direct flight on a late booking!)
Upshot is - Delta can take me out on Monday, but no later return. So it's either a three day 'holiday' or get back late for work and the boys back to school. So no Vegas for the Boa21 clan this time.
Full refund from Expedia (eventually I suppose)
I have £1,000 of US Dollars - hope the pound drops off a cliff for the return exchange (sorry to anyone heading out there).
Cancel the car hire - lose £68
Round-trip Taxi ride - lose £50
Cancel insurance4carhire - actually on the day it starts which their T&C's say they wont do, but they still give me a full refund - so well done them.
Have bought Tickets for Mystere for Tuesday $294 - anyone know if I'm likely to get a refund?
Check my Columbus Direct annual travel insurance - it 'seems' I might be eligible for delay insurance at £20 per 12 hours (I assume per person travelling/on the policy). Have asked Expedia and Delta for written confirmation that the earliest option they had was Monday 15th.
I reckon that gives me £480 - but we'll see if that comes off!
So, gutted, cold, miserable etc!
I also have 2 $50 Restaurant.com vouchers for Gameworks and 1 $25 voucher for Mickie Finnz Fish house. Only cost me $10 for the lot, so not worried. First regular helpful poster to PM me, I'll forward you the emails so you can print them off.
Off to bed for a kip and a sulk - but no doubt will be bouncing back!:(The force is strong in this one!0 -
SeptemberWe had the same prob when we were looking we called them as we thought it was just their system messing up as we had seen the flights a few days earlier but they said they had sold all the allocated m+m fares for those dates. We wanted to fly on the 20th but we couldnt get the flights so were going on 21st instead.
Do you know if you can still use Quidco if your booking a M&M flight:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -
What a rubbish trip report!!!
:(:(:(:(
Sorry to hear all that - must be gutting for you.
Wont the travel insurance cough for Mystere/car hire etc?
Dont airlines try to get you onto other airlines flights? Surely they could get you to anywhere in USA and sort out a flight from there to Vegas?illegitimi non carborundum0
