Ahhh sneaky - its not listed as a room type on the website (good move), but when you search for availability, it appears as the cheapest room.

    Mmmmmm - doesnt surprise me.

The clue is the 27inch TV......its one of those huge old ones that take up half the room......not a snazzy wallmounted one.....

    ferfs right.....

The Roman Tower room theyre too ashamed to even put up a photo on the booking page.....the classic room photo.....manky old bedspread rather than nice bedrunner seen in the nicer rooms.

There are some photos on tripadvisor - but you have to click through a lot of pictures of the Augustus, Palace and Forum tower to find them...I think this was the first one I came to. Just not what you expect from a room at Caesars Palace.

Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Ok, only 11 hours to take-off and just finished all the packing - Delta on-line check-in done and dusted too.

Thank you to everyone on the thread for their great advice, I'll certainly do an update when we get back.

    Thanks again:j

I think you're thinking of Tina and Tony (The D and M Osmond are brother and sister, trets!). Agree the wedding show idea could be excruciating.

Thanks for that, I have never stayed at CP and as I always book cheapest room and hope for upgrade, I probably never will, that photo is SHOCKING. It was only taken a few months ago.

I don't think I would stay at CP in anything less than a Palace Tower room. That's what we had when we stayed there and it was very nice.

That said, housekeeping could have been better. The cushions that should have been on the bed were in a pile on the floor, the mirror above the bath was covered in water marks and there was only one glass in the whole room. Couldn't have used the mini bar if we wanted to as there were no glasses. The window was absolutely filthy.

In hindsight I should have asked for another room, but I didn't notice some of the things right away and by the time I did it wasn't worth moving as we were only there one night.
