Thanks. We're gunna have to do it there and back in a day, I'm not missing the vegas nightlife for it.. as spectacular as the canyon is!! haha

So is seligman actually on the route then or do we have to veer off a bit?

    Cheers all

For me there and back in a day would have been OK I think - 2 hours at the canyone would have been OK for me - though I did absolutely love the stars at night - was the highlight for me. But as for Canyon viewing itself, we probably spent about 2 hours doing that. It was great, but I was ready to get back to the slots.

Seligman is just off of I-40 and Route 66 runs through Seligman (if you look at googlemaps you'll see it)...you could take Route 66 back to I-40 at Kingman, or just stop at Seligman, get to the nearest sign (they have a few ROute 66 shops in Seligman too) take a photo and head back to I-40...I checked the time and distances going via Route 66 and going via I-40 and I think it was said to add 20-30 mins to the journey to drive the part of 66 between Seligman and Kingman than jumping back on I-40. For my FIL it was totally worth it (he actually got a bit choked up at the experience) - and it's an easy drive - barely saw another car. But if time is at a premium you could jump off at Seligman and jump back on I-40.

    RE NEW ELVIS CIRQUE SHOW

stoneman - why do you say this? Have you seen it or know someone/a few people who have seen it and didnt enjoy it?

Its high on my list of "to do's" in June/July - only reason I havent already booked it is because tix have not yet been released for my dates. SO - would be interested to hear why you say its rubbish....
    Steff

Agree with stoneman, it gets pretty mixed reviews.

The reviews remind me of reviews for Danny Gans - most people were love it or hate it people...in the case of Danny Gans we fell into the latter category quite soundly...so it makes me a bit nervous when I see most reviews being 1* or 5*. No way to know until you go if you would be a 1 or a 5. :)

All the reviews I've read of Viva Elvis have been neutral at best. I haven't read anything yet that would make me want to see it.

After seeing Mystere, Love and O I have decided Cirque is not my thing. OH enjoyed them and I did think that Love and O were very good, but I wasn't wowwed by them. That said, I might see Love again if I run out of shows to see.

Why don't you skip the internal flight and drive? If there are 6 of you and each internal flight costs £44 - that's going to go a long way toward covering the rental car costs for your whole trip.

just didnt fancy the long drive but it is a good idea - the rental 7 seater is going to cost us £235 with £20 cashback

That's a good price for Caesars. Where did you get that from and which type of room is it?
