I'm off to Vegas in 5 weeks, we've been 3 times before but haven't been in 8 years. Excited isn't the word. I wonder if it's cahnged much in 8 years.

Not been since 2002? Well just a tad! We go twice a year and it changes in that time so you will see a huge difference.

No Aladdin, no Westward Ho, no Boardwalk, no Stardust, no New Frontier.

New - Planet Hollywood, Wynn, Encore, Palazzo, City Center including Aria, Vdara, Mandarin Oriental.

Thanks for that. I'm still toying with staying there for a night in May, but keep reading that it's "sterile". Don't fancy any of the others at City Center (that would be in my price range).

How did you manage to view a room, did you just ask at check in?

Hi there - yes it was as easy as that - just explained that we were thinking of staying there on our next trip. They did ask where we were staying on this trip and I flashed our Palazzo room key so they knew I was genuine. Perhaps they wouldn't have been as obliging if it had been really busy, but it was fairly quiet.

Didn't manage to see the Mandarin Oriental inside and I don't know if The Harmon is actually finished yet? Are they going to be more expensive than the Aria?

The MO should cost way above what the Aria costs. The Harmon is due to be finished later this year.

ouch! $22 is more than twice the cost of 2 general admission tickets.
For those wanting to see the big boys, the Dodgers are playing
pre-season games at Cashman at the end of March/start of April.

Hugely expensive I know! I will just miss the Dodgers unfortunately! There must be a bus going that way i'm sure! Thanks for advice though, just want to see a game in between the gambling!

If you take the Deuce to the Downtown Transportation Centre and then catch the 113 you should bet there easily. The RTC website says it's just 6 minutes by bus to Cashman Centre.

Hope that helps. We get the bus all the time, and apart from the Deuce, they are all very good.

Thats brilliant, thank you! More money saved for other things! I am guessing the downtown transportation centre is easy to find? 9 weeks to go! :D

It's the last stop if you take the Deuce down there. It's just down the road from Main Street Station.

Just purchased from restaurant.com for the first time. MIX in Mandalay.Bay. Generally are these vouchers well received or are you looked upon as a cheapskate. Just see "REMEMBER TO TIP ON FULL VALUE" and "TOP 3 WAYS TO USE CERT: 1. order dessert 2 try appetizers 3 go for grand entree.
