Hi everyone, I am in Vegas in April and just wanted to know if anyone has ever been to see the LV51s Baseball Team. I know there are games during my stay and really wanted to go. I know they are Minor League, just wanted to see if anyone has been. Thanks very much.

Always go to see at least one each trip. Dirt cheap to get in, tickets behind home plate are less than $20 and just turn up on the day for tickets. Cashman Stadium is really easy to get to if you drive.

Only night we wouldn't go to again would be $1 beer night .... place is packed with drunk kids who can't hold their drink.

So it works even if you rent through a 3rd party? When we picked up a car at LAX from Thrifty they wouldn't let me use the kisok thingy since I'd booked through a 3rd party and had a voucher.
Yes it works at LAS with Thrifty, even with a voucher. The main problem I have always had with the pre-paid voucher is that you can't use any of the self-serve machines AFAIK (Except for the Avis one)
What you do have to do is ring the broker you did the booking with IE, Netflights, CH3000, etc and ask them to add your membership number to your booking then your bookings will track as well and you should receive some of the freebies that the hire companies give out for reaching a certain number of rentals.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I'm off to Vegas in 5 weeks, we've been 3 times before but haven't been in 8 years. Excited isn't the word. I wonder if it's cahnged much in 8 years.

Thanks for the info - very interesting and good to know.

I found with my two Dollar reservations in September/October (ORD and LAS) via CH3000 that Dollar had picked me up as Express without even having to do anything - I was really surprised and most pleased. Especially as they didn't hold me to the requirement to pre-pay a tank of petrol (another surprise) - they gave me the option.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

It will depend on traffic, but...

    http://vegas.taxiwiz.com/
    Estimated cost:

That cab ride would cost about $19.00. That is roughly $22 with a 15% tip. It is about 6.4 miles.

Just got back from Vegas and whilst looking round City Centre (which is amazing) we popped into Aria to look at a room in case we wanted to stay there when we go back in April (on business this time)

Obviously the room was in great condition, being brand new. It just resembled an airport waiting room - no character at all, sterile and cold as far as I was concerned. Size wise, it seemed a little more spacious than a standard room at Bellagio, but that could have been because of the modern furnishings

Thanks for that. I'm still toying with staying there for a night in May, but keep reading that it's "sterile". Don't fancy any of the others at City Center (that would be in my price range).

How did you manage to view a room, did you just ask at check in?

ouch! $22 is more than twice the cost of 2 general admission tickets.
For those wanting to see the big boys, the Dodgers are playing
pre-season games at Cashman at the end of March/start of April.
