Hey all may i join in! I'll be going to uni in September and could do with saving some ca-ching but going to use any pennies i make to pay off the credit card first
Naughty! (Got £180 to clear) Then after that i'll start to save it....Haven't sold on ebay in agesssssssss but have so much stuff that has gathered up that i need rid of!
Winging life....0 -
Welcome, hopefully you can bring some enthusiasm to our sometimes slightly jaded outlook.
£180 will soon be paid off & then you can start in earnest to save for Uni.
I have managed to get a heap of tea chests from Freecycle, picking them up later, hopefully they will make it easir to sort my stuff out & get the ebay room clearer. I think that because my house is so full of stuff it's really hard to stay upbeat.
I really need to actually read the Flylady emails daily instead of filing them when they come through.
At the moment I have 9 boxes of books in the lounge along with about 5 piles of them. I can't do a few at a time, when I decide that I'm going to sell something I get every thing out at once. I need a housewife, or husband.
The weather's so good I want to be gardening instead of indoors.
Good luck everyone.
OOOh I wonder if there'll be a free listing day this week. That will be nice as lots of the books are on Amazon for £10 plus and I can't sell there now as I have no credit card now. I will try the paypal pre paid, when I find it.......
Yeah, I'm just off to collect 12 tea chests, now I can get organised.
Old tea chests at that they are beautiful, almost as lovely as my courgette seedlings the day they popped up to see me.
Now I'm p'd off again, I've got an ad on Gumtree because I need a dog & it's been deleted, looked on the website & sometime a suspicious ad gets reported etc & they take it off while they check it out. I really cannot see how that would be suspicious, unless it's because I've put it in 2 cities. All the scam ones that are in every city, same bl00dy flat pic & details getsd left on. How will I get a dog without an ad GGRRR, now I don't need one, I can just act like one,0 -

I see what you mean about the wrapping up of stuff- God it took me hours but on the plus side :j Drum roll please......
I have made £180 so far with about £35 still to be paid. Postage cost £26 for todays lot and still have 5 items from today to post plus the rest when paid. I can buy my road tax :T and i might try to get a breadmaker too.
I am off to get organised for tomorrow and think about my motivation for listing more stuff.
Thanks everyone- enjoy the rest of your eveningEbay 2010 Challenge0 -

Well done, just think of the road tax & all that delicious bread when you're packing & it won't seem so bad.0 -
Had a message from someone yesterday saying that part of a logo on a dress I sold had come away, e-mailed back to say return it for a refund but have just had a message saying their daughter wants to keep it and do I do a part refund? What should I reply?
Hope everyone is OK, it's very quiet on here, we are changing over to Virgin today for phone, internet and tv so hopefully won't cause too much disruption to my Ebaying time.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

I listed 9 things last night so hopefully will list more tonight! Eleventh Heaven 2011 #4000#1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.:D10.11. :dance:Feb:-50ml Agent Provocateur L’AGENT perfume March:-Krave sample, muller yohurt x3, fairtrade bundle x2, £10, cow print wellies0 -
Thanks Hermum- cant really complain about the wrapping when its kept my car on the road! Mmmmm fresh bread......
Too much Debt- I would tend to do what she asks. It would save any negative feedback and hassle but not offer too much as It must be easily repaired or not too bad if her daughter still wants it. Good luck with the change over- hope its hassle free
Well the sun is shining here so off to do my flylady tasks for today.....well maybe after another coffeeHave a Good day everyone

I've just been in contact with yet another person who has been told she must register as a business and she only sells her childrens toys and bits and bobs from around the house. She has already spoken to someone she knows who is a big powerseller and it has been suggested that the software ebay use to decide who is a business or not is similar to the basic search seller history function on ebay.
Just out of interest it might be worth checking what your figures look like for both 30 and 90 days, hers were approx £700+ and a 26% sell through in 90 days on almost 400 items.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
