Thanks for your help, I'll start looking round the house to see what I can sell :-)Welcome, some people on here are business sellers some like me are selling on their own things.
Best if you spend a few hours, days reading this thread. There's also this thread
ebay also have their own forum.
It may be worthwhile selling things that you don't need anymore to get a feel for it.
As soon as you buy anything to sell on, whether new, or used, this includes, car boots, charity shops jumbles etc. You are a business seller & would need to register as such on ebay, & for tax. Ebay are now clamping down on this, as you'll see when you read through all this thread. You would then need to do a tax return so keep every receipt etc.
Everyone on here is very friendly & helpful however I don't think that many of us will tell you what is best to sell, as we're probably selling it. Likewise nobody is likely to give you names of their suppliers.
If you have a hobby or interest that would be a good place to start as you already have knowledge.
Good luck0 -
Hi all, Not been on here for a while, still listing stuff but things not really selling. Is anyone else finding this? It's been slow for a couple of weeks. I've got 82 items listed and 2 bids of £1.98. Wow!
Have been in bed for the last 24 hours with a stinker of migraine, it's gone now but I can't sleep. Grrrrr!!!
I am now spending my Saturdays trawling round jumble sales for clothes to list on ebay. I've got loads to list. Will keep you updated.
Hope you are all having better luck with your listings than I am!!!! xxSealed pot member #1950 - £44.79

ebay is extremely slow for me! think i only have about 11 items listed - mostly 99p items but not a dicky bird! i have sold 2 items over the 4-5 weeks - again both 99p items.
might try and get a lots on TL this weekend -- just booked my hotel for vegas so really need to generate an extra £1000 or so over the next 7 months!0 -
Good luck with that credit_crunch. Don't know why it's so slow, most of my items start at 99p and it's good quality stuff. Oh well fingers crossed there will be a mass stampede at the weekend!!Sealed pot member #1950 - £44.79

good luck listing again (not that you need it)0 -
Evening ladies,
Have been very naughty and spending lots of money (on overdraft) so need to get my act together (again) and get listings ready on ebay and Amazon. eBay at the weekend and Amazon during the week.
Am also going to set myself a challenge of not touching my bank account for a month (good job my credit card has some available funds)
Welcome mrscmr and anybody else who has been in hiding.
I only have 22 items listed, they finish tomorrow and no bids :eek:Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
I like your thinking Floxxie! I might try and not touch my bank account too (not that there is ever much money left in it after payday!!)
I've become addicted to jumble sales (if you had told me that 5 years ago I would never have believed it!!) but I've been going to one or two every Saturday for the last 5 weeks purely to get clothes to sell on ebay. I can't believe what people give away!!! I have made quite a bit when you think the most I pay for an item is 20p. I sold a gorgeous Laura Ashley Jacket for £11.45. I went to a couple today and the second one was a nightmare. It was in a posh village but they were like animals pushing, shoving and grabbing - not to self, do not wear flip flops to jumble sales as the end result is bruised feet!! Anyway I came away with 25 gorgeous items to sell so will let you all know I get on.Sealed pot member #1950 - £44.79

Today i will package 5 items to be posted tomorrow and list at least 10 items. Most people will have been paid so will finish them for next weekend....hopefully get lots of bids!!
Hope everyone is feeling motivated!Ebay 2010 Challenge0
