I've thought quite a few times about having a couple of lessons but never had the bottle to go through with it. It's so ingrained now - it's been growing since.....well, since I passed my test in 96 really.
I'm eating hotel chocolat 'exuberantly fruity' truffles. They are lush and if I'm going to see the decade out in style I might as well do it pigging my face with my favourite chocs"Stay Wonky":D

You're such a wedding venue tart!

How very dare you!!! Need to shop around don't you know!Good wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.0 -
Hello Peeps, back from my second day at looking for a wedding venue and the "perfect place" I found yesterday has now been dumped!
Undecided between:
The Vermont Hotel, Newcastle - https://www.vermont-hotel.com
The Hilton Newcastle Gateshead - https://www.hilton.co.uk/newcastlegateshead
The Vermont is very traditional, room is lovely, fantastic views (it's the highest building in Newcastle), great for photo's (right next to the keep) and central for people.
The Hilton is on the Gateshead side of the river, very light, airy and modern, again - fantastic views of the Tyne bridge, lovely room, I get the feeling the wedding coordinator at the Hilton would be more attentive to detail
Price difference between the two is negligible to be honest!!
Have you thought of this venue?

We were at a wedding there a couple of years ago and it was lovely.:DBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Well it may well be worth revisiting the idea BB-doesn't sound like it'll go away on it's own...
Katie-which hotel do you work in? My folks spend loads of time at Hilton Coral Reef in Nuweiba....do you know it??iDebt-free...and staying that way...0 -
Don't forget Google Books, I've been using there for research for essays and it's been a godsend, much better than the stupid search uni journal thing, which makes me log-in to EVERYTHING instead of having an auto login so I lose what I need** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

I do it all because I'm scared.

Hi, yes, I know Langley Castle very well, and it is lovely! But we're only having a small family wedding and we want somewhere that friends can come and join us later if they wish to so being in the centre of town seems the sensible option.Good wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.0 -

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Wish it was tomorrow and all this new year rubbish was over.0
