I'm back at work today after being in Bristol yesterday - mum is okay, a bit odd and crazy from the meds and going in for another operation this morning but think she'll be fine in a few weeks (although it may take longer to get back the use of her hand)!

Got boiler men booked in for Saturday to finally finish boiler now just need to call LL and let him know - hopefully can do one big cheque on Sat!

Have a good day all :D

Hoping to go and watch Avatar this afternoon and have lunch out, then back home to have steak for tea, kindly supplied by my daughter, she bought it, I cook it :(

I don't like cooking at the best of times, but one New Year's Eve a few years ago, I cooked our tea and left the grill on and we had a kitchen fire! We spent all evening cleaning up, so now I am very wary of cooking on New Year's Eve!

Happy birthday to Sally and Pap - both utterly lovely people - must be something about being born on the same day eh? :D

Just waiting for DD1 to apply half her makeup bag before we go to asda......thrill a second stuff for new years eve.

Nothing planned for tonight, had a couple of offers from friends but to be honest neither of us can really be bothered with the effort. We're going to have a lovely picky tea and a couple of bottles of fizz, play a few Wii games and probably be in bed by 10pm.

Feeling much better this morning. Had a horrible sinking feeling when I woke up and remembered, but nothing like yesterday when I almost had heart failure.
Still feeling very sad though. New Years celebrations aren't going to be a celebration anymore. Not for me anyway.
Will see a doctor if I still feel like this in a couple of days. :(

    Happy Birthday Sally and Pap:beer:

Been up since 5.30am:eek: Indian takeaway came back to haunt me, treat from the neighbours for OH helping them lay some flooring:D

Off to finish the ironing and wake the lazy lumps upstairs.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Hugs Fire - it is very early days at the moment and is natural for you to feel this way. Give yourself time to reflect and think of your friend, be kind to yourself, it has been a terrible shock for you. Take Care
