Hello Peeps, back from my second day at looking for a wedding venue and the "perfect place" I found yesterday has now been dumped!

    Undecided between:
The Vermont Hotel, Newcastle - https://www.vermont-hotel.com
The Hilton Newcastle Gateshead - https://www.hilton.co.uk/newcastlegateshead

The Vermont is very traditional, room is lovely, fantastic views (it's the highest building in Newcastle), great for photo's (right next to the keep) and central for people.
The Hilton is on the Gateshead side of the river, very light, airy and modern, again - fantastic views of the Tyne bridge, lovely room, I get the feeling the wedding coordinator at the Hilton would be more attentive to detail
Price difference between the two is negligible to be honest!!

For god sake woman, make your mind up!
You're such a wedding venue tart!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Good luck to your mum for her operation - my mum had hers done a few years ago as an emergency and it was like a whole new lease of life!

1st bottle of fizz has been opened - tonights tea is a total cop out and a few boxes of party nibbles from the freezer along with the token effort towards healthy eating with some carrot and cucumber sticks for dipping......there will be cheese too (cos it needs eating up), got a lovely stilton with apricots and a stilton with blueberries that I shall be aiming for.

Just been doing "clay" with DD2 - remind santa not to bring stuff that gets stuck under your nails next year!
