Best thing I find is set yourself half an hour to do as much as you can of somehting (or even just 15 mins). It's amazing what you can get done in a short time if you really try, then you can reward yourself with a cuppa

For some reason I'm really sore today and can hardly walk (baby getting heavy I think!) so won't be doing much. Short list for me today
TO DO
Change Ds1 bedding
Wash up
Wipe down and tidy kitchen
Make pork, cider and shallot casserole
I had my BM's 3 little ones (all under 6) over for tea last night, amazingly there was hardly any mess to clear up after them (though I do make kids put away toys as I refuse to do that!) and they all ate dinner really nicely. Saved her a job as she's very stressed at the moment but was mostly selfish - Think I needed to fill my house with kids, have really been appreciating mine more since what happenedJune Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

I need to do some housework today whilst my work is 'processing'. Partner at work
(she only does 2 full days a week - Thurs and Fri) and kids at school/work, although 16yo will be home by 2pm :j
Something tells me to get on and paint the skirting boards0 -
List finished, casserole is simmering. Also made 2 H/M pizzas, with the kids' help of course. Totally yummy and as I made the dough from scratch I now know I can do it - so no more buying packet mix at 60p a go!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Hi all!
Well after being crap all week I feel I have just made up for it this morning :j
I just got on and did loads of odd jobs and now I feel quite pleased with myself so I am sitting down here with a choccy bar
I have mopped all downstairs floors
put 2 washes on and hung up to dry
put yesterdays dry clothes away
sorted out clothes in airing cupboard and got ds bedding out ready to change his bed when he wakes from nap
sorted out my cupboard where I keep all my baking bits - i had so many half bags of flour etc - glad it is now all sorted and i found 2 bags of choc chips to bake with so next week i must make cookies or choc fairy cakes as they go off next month
made bed
sorted out drawer with toiletries in - omg i found 6 deodrants (?!) don't need to buy that for a while then! lol and found baby bubble bath which I thought we were out of so that is a trip to the shop i don't need to do
I still need to:
wash bathroom rug in a mo
dust living room tonight after ds in bed
give bathroom quick clean after ds has a bath
change and make ds bed when he wakes from nap
I am feeling so pleased to have got lots of 'odd' jobs done that have been niggling me. Although the house doesn't look spottless everywhere I feel pleased with myself. I need to have a weekend off housework as hubby away again next week so we will have a lovely family weekend this weekend
....and I must ask RAGZ where are you getting all your energy from?? You are overdue and making home made pizza??? I know you must want to keep busy but REST, REST, REST! You will need your energy for labour and your first few days with baby! Put your feet up now!!!SAHM Mummy tods (born Oct 2007) and dd (born June 2010)0 -
God, you're all busy busy busy! I got very little done today. Another day of combing out nits (sob sob) after being up half the night with the little one. And our usual 5am wakeup. Washed the same load of clothing 3 times now, as kept forgetting to take it out as I just couldn't get to it to hang up and I hate when it smells musty. Nowhere to go but up for tomorrow, I suspect. LOL
Tomorrow tasks:
- show DH how to make banana bread (his request, he wants to learn how to make it to help out)
- cook pork roast to use for sweet and sour pork for supper (SIL coming to dinner tomorrow night)
- bath and comb out for DS2 (just in case)
- another load of laundry (one day I'll catch up!)
- bottles (wash, sterilise, and make for day)
- plan what baby food to give to DS3 over weekend - he's just started food and I'm trying a mix of the BLW and pureed, as some parts of each I like (and the gagging scares me senseless)
... more to add but can't think of it right now.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
Ragz good luck if baby comes today like you thought it might x hugs x
We are having a nightmare today - BA lost my dh's bag last night and they have now found it but they can not tell us if we will have the bag back by tomorrow - when he flies back and he needs his stuff  Wanted to a family day today as the only full day we will see each other for the next week or so and now we don't know if we are waiting in for a bag or not :mad:SAHM Mummy tods (born Oct 2007) and dd (born June 2010)0 -
If anyone who has a child with an ASD can recommend any good books on the subject, that's be great. My best mate's son is in the process of being diagnosed and she could really do with some info.
Hi Ragz
A good book I'd recommend to anyone at the start of the journey is: "Ten things every child with autism wishes you knew". I think it's called that, I've lent it out so not sure. (Just checked) It' really easy to read and I've given it to everyone who spends time with my son and seems to really explain things well.
Tony Atwood's books are great if it's Asperger's and not ASD but I found some of his books about Asperger's helpful anyway.
If your friend can get on an Earlybird course run by the National Autistic Society I would really recommend it. Also, the Cerebra website is good and has a (free) lending library, plus advice on DLA and all sorts.
Right, that was a bit off topic wasn't it?
I've not been around much, burying my head in the sand, but today I'm back! Haha.
The big list:
- [STRIKE]washing on[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]hang up wet washing and put dry washing away[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]clean mould from around living room window[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]do online shopping[/STRIKE]
- hoover behind and under furniture
- wash up
- [STRIKE]30 minutes exercise[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]1 hour studying[/STRIKE]
Good luck to all you baby makers!

I needed to keep busy, makes time go quicker! Plus I thought I'd never go into labour if I was sitting around doing nothing! Have taken a break from Flylady though, just been doing the basics. But despite a nice walk this morning and last night's full moon, still no sign of baby coming...Hi Ragz

That's fab rainbow, thanks. Will have a look out for that book for her. She has no time AT ALL to spend online looking stuff up but a book that's easy enough to read may get a look in.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
