Sal-I had to pay 6 months up front when DH I split in 2008. Would it be worth him considering a B&B? I know there are some around here that cater to men that work away...like Sammy's OH as well.

My kids took the split dead easy. I do agree that as they are younger, its easier for them.

All the B&B's in the area are £49 + a night...He's looking for a room share as he would pay that amount per week.

Kids are so cruel at times...was feeling all upbeat this morning then got to school and 1 of B's friends (who she often meets in the school holidays) said its my birthday today, im having friends back for birthday tea...your not invited. I knew 1 girl was going but it now appears there are a group. I know I shouldn't worry but just felt really sad for B as she has been good friends with this girl up until now. She was obviously upset too grrrrrr snotty girls

Ah Sal,
Kids can be so cruel. We know what happens when I am faced with bullies that upset my kids...

Poor Bea.

we can't always be there to protect our kids and unfortunately, its a life lesson they have to learn-life isn't always nice.

Doesnt mean that we dont want to protect them and hold them safe in our arms...

Sally, can you have a word with the girl's mother, she might not be aware of what her daugher has done.

God no...if it was physical then I would but lets face it girls will be girls and fall out and make up all the time. Think I would spend my life interferring if I spoke up everytime, but of course if it continued in school and B came home v upset then I would probably have a word. Just been in a complete circle there haven't I lol.

OK I think I have done well this afternoon after work
Made Leek and Potato soup
Peeled veggies for Tea
Moved all the furniture out of B's room and hoovered and dusted
Put up her keyboard on the landing so she can practise now
Hoovered and dusted my room (havent done this 100% as when OH takes rest of his stuff I shall blitz it within an inch of its life)
Ive written out my to do list for tomorrow
Written out my Want list so that I can stay focused on saving and buying things as and when I can afford

Kids are great aren't they...they come home from School with tales of who has upset them, you get all upset FOR them.....and the next minute they're OK and you are feeling bad!
Only another 15 years or so of that happening.....Oh, hang on, its doesn't stop it just changes to jobs, boyfriends etc etc etc:D:D ( and then their own kids:eek:...only 3 1/2 weeks to go)

Bah..it's pants Sal Hun......Sticks and stones and all that but I'm sure your heart still stops a few beats and wails .....

Most important is that B knows she is much loved :A......especially as she may be a bit wobbly atm in view of circumstances ....

.If needs be, just remind her she has a shed load of piggies down here to prove it...and let's face it - who wants snotty girls when they can have loads of special piggie whisker kisses..... (piggies don;t do that to anyone you know so B must be speshul!!!)
