Ahh Wol, I wish someone had said those things to me a year ago...I think I might have understood my own feelings more. Although I probably wasn't ready to hear it then.

I've eventually come to those same conclusions too, but it was a hard fought battle to get here.

Sal, you are doing so well, and so is B. I'm really proud of you both. x

Wol certainly put it sooo clearly, and its really really helped me today. Ive only had 1 blip of a few tears when B was on the phone to Daddy and asked why he was looking for a new house...but this is your house when are you coming back and she was crying..she then moved swifly on to something else. I know the reality of if will kick in for her soon and it will be hard, but she will cope just like I will have to.

Asked him about viewings on the houses/flats today...apparently because he's only just got job they all want 6 months rent upfront. Im not saying this isn't the case but there is part of me that wonders whether he actually went to look at any and whether this is just another lie. Maybe im being a bit harsh and really it doesn't concern me. Said he was going to look at room shares but didn't think he would be back this weekend which is fine by me as I think its too soon to have to go through the whole leaving process again on Sunday.

  • Sally, I know nothing about children so ignore this opinion/advice. I think that even though Bea doesn't quite understand just now once she does she will be perfectly fine with the arrangement. Also I think she will cope much better than if you tried to muddle on and then split when she was much older. I think they deal with these things better when they are young.

Anyways keep on going Sally we are all here for support if you need it :D

Sally, my Mum and Dad (not my real dad but I class him as my Dad) split up when I was 17 and I still dont think I have got over it.

My Mum and my biological father split up when I was 4 and I coped with that much better.

Thanks Lou...Its an awful thing to say but there is part of me that wishes I had done it earlier so it would be less painful for her but at least its still early in her life.

Children, especially younger ones adapt to change much better than we do. I remember when my parents split that I couldnt understand how my younger brothers just accepted things so quickly (they were 11 and 4) but myself and my oldest brother (14) took it much harder.

Try not to fill your head with if onlys Sal:A

If I got started on the if onlys I would still be here next week:o

    Morning all

feeling much better today, had a great nights sleep (well until a small wriggly person thought it was time to get up at 3am and then chatted away for 2 hours)

Manic list of things to do today before work and after work but hey I shall plod along. Have already showered, dressed, made coq au vin, set smoke alarm off, Bea dressed, homework, packed lunches

Just need to dry and straighten hair
    Read reading book with B
Have breakfast myself and whatever else I can cram in

Have a good day all :)
