Ok so another one taking the plunge

Those of you reading probably already know me and if you don't well here is the details I guess
Me, DD (bea) who is 4 and OH is acts like he is 4

I work part time
OH was made redundant in May

Things seem to have changed dramatically in our lives this year, OH took on a lovely well paid job in 2008 but was made redundant only 9 months after which has totally pulled the rug from under us. Ive been desperately trying to pay off all our debt (accumilated from living beyond our means..but certainly not extravagently) for the last 3 years or so...quite successfully as its gone down from 36k at its highest to now just under 5k. All our savings that I had put by have been used to live on for the last 6 months while also offering a few F&F settlement offers, but now I am down to £50 in my savings account, not enough money to pay the bills this month and no prospect of being able to get out of this situation...well other than OH getting a job (I'll elaborate more on that later )

So here is my SOA, its more for me to see and talk through and keep a real hand on it

MONTHLY BILLS
Water £34
TV Licence £12.12
CCCS £60.00
Gas £22.00
Electricity £50.00
Home Insurance £11.51
Council Tax £175.66
Rent £600.00
Car Insurance £31.00
TT (BB, Phone & Mobile) £21.74
Street Child £5.00

TOTAL £1023.53

One off Bills
Hairdressing £15.00 (all 3 of us)
Opticians (OH Needs special Prescription not covered by NHS redemption) £15.00
Dentist £15.00
Presc/Medicines £10.00
Christmas £10.00
Birthdays £10.00
Clothes/Shoes £20.00
Car Service £30.00
Car Tax £15.00
Bea Swimming £17.50

TOTAL £142.50

Food £250
Petrol £90

TOTAL £340

TOTAL EXPENDITURE £1506.03

My Salary £430.00
CTC £226.35
WTC £167.91
CB £80.00
Housing Ben £576.20
Council Ben £108.84

TOTAL INCOME £1589.30

This doesn't look so bad on paper however the lovely Housing Benifits/Council tax peeps have over paid us so I have £900 ish to pay back for HB and an outstanding amount of CT which will be paid in Jan/Feb/Mar at the rate above.

I know there are areas that I need to cut back on, Ive had to re-jig the payment to CCCS down as OH's JSA has stopped

I know there are far more people worse off than me so I am determined not to let this get me down and just keep swimming :)

You are in the best place to take control, just posting a few bits and pieces every couple of days seems to focus the mind and having a fresh pair of eyes look over your problems seems to help, everybody gives loads of advice. One day I too will have pearls of wisdom to share, however, only started taking control of my debts a couple of weeks ago so am no expert ;)

    Here's to the journey

    Morning diary

Well today its my birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY ME) Bea came in around 7:15am, thought OH might get her up and take her downstairs lol. In fact he told her it was too early and to get in bed, she bawled her eyes out at which point I was fully awake. His alarm went off !!!!!! so that he could get up and make me breakfast in bed apparently. He grumped downstairs and then said he was going to Tesco so left me in bed with Bea getting in and out, jumping around...at which point I gave up and got up *sigh*

Have had some lovely presents from my Mum, a Joules Gillet, a book and a lovely seed container to put all my allotment seeds in :)
One of my best friends sent me a lovely green stone heart necklace which is beautiful.
Nothing from OH and B, which I would understand as we have no money but he managed to find £10 to spend on some stupid online game the other day..its this fact that has made me realise how selfish he can be sometimes.

Anyway rant over for today, this is really just for me to be able to read back this time next year and see how my life has changed in 2010 :)

Hope everyone reading has a good new years eve, I shall be pampering myself a bit, have a drink and go to bed early I expect
