Its a beautiful day out there, even if it is freezing cold. Need to spend some quality time doing something nice with DD, might take her to the playpark but I also need to blitz the house, take the tree down, strip the beds and go for a run. Have decided that I shall be resuming the Fly Lady this year in a bid to get the housework under control!

    Level One

Strip the bedding get it washed dried and the beds remade!
    Level Two
    vacuum the floors
    Straighten a cupboard of clothing
    Wipe the paintwork
    Level Three
    Tidy a box of 'stuff'
    binbag dance!
    dust and deweb

    Extras
HHI, Wash windows, Fill a binbag for charity shop!

    Happy New Year, sally.

As for cheap meals.....one of my guilty pleasures is good old egg and chips. Very cheap, very filling, and very very yummy. Who cares if there are no veggies on the plate from time to time :D

I bulk out bolognese sause with bulgar wheat - very cheap and doesn't spoil the sauce. Lentils too are a good bulker and you don't need many of them to make just that bit of difference.

    • Tinned sphaghetti on toast with a poached egg goes down a treat with my DDs.
    • Jacket spud and baked beans with fruit for desert.
    • Anything involving mince with equal amount of lentil and porridge oats to stretch it as far as possible.Variations are endless inclusing shepherds pie, sphaghetti bolognese, lasagne etc.
    • Mixed bean casseroles are cheap and nutitious

Thanks for that tip...Ive just thought of a couple of cheap dishes but going to hot foot it across to OS later and get some true cheap dishes!

OK I have done my daily scratch card (thanks Hypno)
Played my £5 on bingo...Won another £10 whoooo hooooo :):) that takes me up to £70!

Off to strip DD's bed and get that out on the line for a bit of fresh air even if it doesn't dry!

    Hypno question for you
I have £10 cash winnings + £2.80 bonus totalling £12.80, have just tried to deposit £10 to take my cash winnings up to the £20 required to withdraw and it says

Your current account balance exceeds the balance at which a deposit can be made

Are they trying to stop me withdrawing and getting me to play my cash balance grrrrr?
