Quick update for today. Feel as though I'm being quite lax with my spend targets and need to drastically reign them in a bit, or up the anti on making some extra money. Two months in a row I've been over food budget and the higher I set it, the more I seem to spend. Going back to January we survived the month on about £25 now I can't seem to keep it within £160! Ridiculous. Am going to drastically cut back. The freezer is full of food and so is the cupboard, so going to try and eek that out instead of sticking to menu as before, will try and modify to use things up!

I've lost weight! Yay, yay, yay! Not quite the 4lb I was hoping for, but I'll take the 2 rather than have stood still or put it on! Okay, I'm going to bottle the good feeling and go with it! It's off rather than on, that's the good thing!

Very lazy day with breakfast in bed this morning! All I've done is make dinner, watch TV and do the shopping. Have a roarin' headache too! So much for going out and doing another adventurous hill walk, that went to pots didn't it! Groan! Oh well - always a mountain to climb next week xx

Kept shopping megga cheap (almost back to the January budget) to try and reign in back in. Now back on target if I don't spend anything between now and Thursday!

10 hour work shift - didn't get home till an hour ago, so have missed Zumba! However, to my credit I have come in, made a meal (which was predominently left-overs) and now, by adding a tin of tuna, have made 12 good-sized fish-cakes out of the left-over, left-over mash for tomorrow! Wow - that's an extended meal if ever there was! Just need to add a couple of tins of cupboard beans to the fish-cakes and thats a freebie meal to keep this side of the good coin!

Okay, so I'm going to come on to the 80 unbudgeted pounds ... I have ALWAYS wanted a pair of fit flops and with the summer coming up, and all the walking I'll be doing, I thought it would be perfect. Anyway, mentioned to Best Friend who exclaimed loudly "oooooh, I really want some too", so as it's her birthday next month (would have been budgeted for in July!!!) I got her a pair as well :o:o I know it's extravagence personified, but I promise to love them and wear them and walk them forever more!!! As a very mini sweetner, Boots were doing them with 500 points free with each pair, plus went through Quidco - only £2 back ... but better than nowt??

There's a couple more unbudgets that are going to come in as well - a very good friends 21st birthday and a blu-ray for DH ... so that will probably be another £50!!!!

Not brilliant is it, after doing so well with the food!
