Well, yes it has been started - but because treatment was ongoing we couldn't finalise it until I had recovered.

As I have now had some fantastic physio that has sorted the problems out good and proper, I can do the final statement and submit it to the other side.

We've had all the medical reports along the way, and initial and interim statements from me....it really is the final bit that I need to do.

I've made a really good start to the kitchen and dining room - lots of bits that don't normally get done, like cleaning the venetian blinds, and doing the tops of the kitchen cupboards - so lots of things that aren't instantly noticeable, but I *know* they are cleaner than they were before I started!

Having coffee now, then another friend wants to come and see "how I'm doing".....after which I will have something to eat and get on with that report.....

A good clean around makes us feel good- don't know why though. But i too will be doing the top of my cupboards at some point this week, and the radiators...DD2 gets a bit of a sniffly nose in her bedroom, and i am wondering if they are habouring too much dust. So that is on my list this week...amongst a zillion other things.

I hope you finish the report off.:D

KC, I had an opportunity to try and settle before I was recovered, but as there was no way of really knowing how long it would take to heal, I thought that was pointless.

As it is, I am glad I didn't settle early on, because the inital medical report said recovery should be within 4-6 months, when actually I was still receiving physio 2 years later.......however, I am now happy that it has healed, so can hopefully wrap it all up fairly quickly. The lady who caused the accident admitted liability early on, so at least that bit is not in doubt.

It will be nice for you to get another bit of 'the past' dealt with and out of the way...something else off your shoulders at least. Best of luck! :)

I've been tidying my room this weekend Hypno, and I also feel the need for a MASSIVE throw-out of clothes. The only problem is, I feel that there is very little I can actually throw out! I need to devise a cunning plan...and execute it as I much have more (very nice, and often designer hence not wanting to get rid) clothes than most shops!

Well I've heard of a few of systems:

1 - "if you buy something new, at least one item must go". This way it at least doesn't get worse!!

2 - Do they fit? Are they likely to fit in the near future? If not sell or dispose of. You might have money towards buy something that does fit when you need it.

3 - The 6 or 12 month rule, if you don't wear it within a year, you're probably not likely to wear it again, so again throw or dispose of.

What I'm trying to do is reduce the number of items, but get one's that fit better and are nicer, and that I'll wear more often because I can find them :) Mainly doing this by when I think I need clothes double check the wardrobe first!!!! Only then if there's nothing that will do the job think of shopping.

I normally only go shopping when I really need something, exceptions are classic basics, which I will buy if they are the right thing at the right price, and I've not got too much of already.

Good afternoon Hypno, sounds like you achieved loads yesterday and are carrying on the good work today. I feel worn out just reading your posts!
Don't worry about any "self-indulgent little wobbles" as that is part of what this week is about - clearing out head and heart as well as home! (Same goes for you Beanie, whatever your troubles - sometimes shedding a few tears works wonders and stops us getting ill from storing up frustration and anger - we would not be human if we did not cry.)
Onwards and upwards - and glad to see you are indulging in the odd treat now and then.

You sound like a little ball of energy at the moment! Well done with all that you've acheived. Hugs:T

Good advice: 1 is kind of on the way, 2 is what I'm about to put into practice and I have a few items that qulify under point no 3 which will be hitting Ebay, and I've bought little in recent months, only that which I have truly needed (a bit of underwear and one going-out outfit for two big scial events), but the main problem is that I went up a dress size a while back, and although I have only bought the least amount I can get away with in this size, and fully intend to go back down, I worked for a designer clothes shop when I was in my last dress size and got a stonking discount there, so I bought tons of stuff that I couldn't normally afford as it was at such good prices. A lot of it is basic suits etc. for work/interviews etc. and there is little I would sell as I could never get that quality at those prices again.

:) and :(. More storage space, please!
