It was one of those jobs that took a fraction of the time that I had allowed my brain to think it would take.......so it took an hour, yet if anyone had asked me before, I would have said it will take me all day.

I suspect the same can be said of most of the jobs I put off......and put off.......and put off.......:o

    Hi Hypno

Glad to hear you;re enjoying the mens downhilll.....a little bit of what you fancy does you good ;);)

Ref designer clothes...might be worth checking this out
    http://www.clothesagency.com/cms/home

I have lots of "vintage" designer stuff (business suits mainly) that I don;t really want to put on ebay...(although having lost the weight I now fit into it all for the first time in 20 years :rotfl:...and some of it is coming back into fashion :rotfl:)...so I might be trying these people out next month.

Really pleased you've reached the final stage of the insurance claim too - well done for not settling early......my friend was in a similar position and her physio went on for a few years before she could finalise everything (she got a nice payout mind once her schedule of losses and final med report was submitted ;))

Still cheering you on and sending hugs for those moments when you need them

Will the pay out be enough to help with repaying your Mum, or do you have other plans for it?
Hope you sleep well and late into tomorrow.

    Good morning Hypno,

Only 10p's on the scratchies this morning, but it adds up eventually :)

Pleased to hear that the legal paperwork wasn't as time consuming as you thought :)

Have a good day, priorities here are still just to stick to the diet, do the yoga & get ready for going home at the weekend.

Have a good day everyone :)

Hopefully someones having another "lie in" ;)

Didnt get to see the downhill but did watch some of the crosscountry stuff - they have some really funny names for these competitions. "normal hill" - whats normal about jumping off a hill on 2 wobbly bits of something! and 10K is short!!!!!! I used to waterski but never been on snow - probably best for everyone else on the slopes :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I've was able to eat soemthing a bit more solid yesterday and only 2 lots of ibuprofen so the clotted cream did wonders!

Well, a late start, simply because I have been awake most of the night  I ended up getting up at 2.30, making coffee (decaff) and watching the ice skating from the Winter Olympics......so of course I eventually fell asleep at a time close to the one that I would normally get up, but today I was able to stay in bed - I didn't sleep much, but I could make the conscious decision not to put the laptop on, or the telly etc, to give me a chance to rest.

My head is thumping now, though - one of the problems of not sleeping is that I feel rather hungover.

Today is an odd day - I am having a "visit" from m-i-l and dinner with my mum - neither of whom have I really spoken to since all this happened.....so perhaps that was playing on my mind last night...*sigh*

I also need to get to the shop for basics - milk, cat food, bin bags and emergency stress-relieving confectionary....but I will go to the shop in the village, rather than risk spending a fortune in Tesco. The last two days have been NSDs so I'm not doing too badly spends wise.

Verbatim, the payout will not be great, because I don't have much in the way of losses - being the stubborn so and so that I am, I didn't stop work etc, and the costs I incurred in terms of petrol to physio, and prescriptions etc are not massive.....so the figure will be for pain and discomfort suffered, which is always a vague figure. I have been given an idea of what to expect, but it won't be life changing. It will still be very useful though and I owe it to myself to push on and finish the claim, as I WAS in a lot of pain at times as you know.

Coffee, scratches, shower, banking and getting on with my day - that's about all I'm committing to today. I hope you all have a good one x
