I just wish you didn't have to deal with all of this carp. I know you can deal with this and I know you will deal with all this (no choice), but I just wish you didn't HAVE to.
I'm going to mention your website to everyone I know in the hope that builds up some traffic and brings some money in for you. I clicked on your username on MSE and it gave the web address for the downloads - hope it's still the correct one.
I hope you can find some space just to be - don't think about anything more than the next day. Big plans can wait as they're out of your control. Just hold onto what you can control and for all the rest... take it out on the dart board, the pillow or the box of chocolates.
Much love, as ever.0 -

You do not deserve this at all Hypno..it's a wenk decision as it puts you under more financial pressure than necessary and therefore at more risk of default....(where IS that confused smiley when you need him?)

Thanks guys - I will see what the next few days bring - energywise, and brainstorming wise......I didn't get the back of the envelope out last night - that is something that I still need to do.....maybe I will get the chance at lunchtime today to make a start.
I did sleep ok - until about 2am.....
My middle of the night way of thinking was in trying to make this a positive thing - by concentrating on the fact that it pushes me to get debt free sooner......rather like when I couldn't get anything better than 29.9% on a barclayloan or credit card.....yes I was cross beyond belief that I couldn't get anything better, but it actually spurred me on to pay it off quicker, as I refused to be stuck with a high rate any longer than I had to.
So, this way, I will be "forced" to repay £4k of my debt when my bonus comes through in May - so rather than seeing it as "I'm forced to.....", I should see it as being £4k closer to debt freedom, and the signature change that it will involve.
Similarly, I have to find an extra £250 in my budget - that is the £10 a day challenge, which I have been doing for ever. So I have proved over and over that I can do it. That means, in turn, that my barclayloan which sits at just under £8k at the moment, will be gone in 2 years at the most - so another £8k will be gone from my sig, and by that time, so will the £3k on the 0% card, and my normal mortgage payments will have taken my outstanding mortgage to well below the £175k I have been working on as my "debt free target".......
I'm not sure if that all makes sense - it does to me, and of course it is dependent on making budgets work, and that is something which is still a bit of an unknown.
I am sorry that I ranted so much yesterday - I am not bitter towards OH. Yes, I hate the fact that he has done this, that I am in this situation, but I know that once the hurt subsides, I will make something good out of the gloom for me and for the children.
It is just the interim, "period of adjustment" that throws all the emotions up in the air.

No need to apologise, that is what your diary is for.
This may be another idea - I know you are worried about the loan from your mum. I also know that you want to get the house into your name.
Your bonus comes in May - could you wait until then to use the bonus to clear the £4K they are asking for, maybe prices will have risen a bit too, plus you will have made a few more payments and then remove him from the mortgage. Then your starting point may be lower?
Just a thought ((smiley missing shrug where are you???????????))0 -
If I wait until May, then I will have to pay another £160 for a further valuation.....and I would rather pay that amount in "interest" to my Mum for having lent me the money for 3 months.
Provided I can make the day to day budgets work, I will push forward with the way things are, I think. Short term pain for longer term gain......and at the end of the day, to be debt free is what I have been working for, so it still all fits.
I just need to know what the day to day costs will be and the amount left for "living" - if I can make that work, I will plod on.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
