Yes, you would get 25% discount off your council tax as you are the only adult in the house assuming your teenage children are still under 18. Also, I dont know how it works but what about tax credits? Would you be eligible for this? may be worth looking into? Take care Hypno

When my 2 DS's vanish, food is cut by 2/3, when OH is away, he accounts for 2/3 of what's left, so mine is just 1/9 & OH would be 2/9's.

So your grocery bills should be a lot less, but your DS & DD do a lot of sports which burns calories, so they may be a larger percentage, but you should get a good drop in the grocery bill.

Well, another day survived.....won't be a NSD as I bought a sandwich at lunchtime,. so £2.50 down the pan, and am going out with the girls tonight - Zizzis....2 courses for £10 so not too bad but not free!

Had a chat with my boss today - I work in a very tough environment, but I work in one of those rare places that genuinely care for its staff. I am very lucky in that respect.

Also rang the Halifax and told them that I will be providing them with the money they need in order to get me a mortgage offer sorted sooner rather than later.....and in return got a provisional monthly payment figure to put in my SOA. I will be happier once it is sorted but it is a small step closer, even though I am ticking THEIR boxes more than I am mine

Hope you have all had a good day.
