Walshyboy - I have to disagree about Glee being the freaking best.
That accolade goes to MAD MEN - currently the best prog on telly!
Don Draper omnomnom - that should be your treat tomorrow Hypno! (10pm Beeb 4)

So sorry to hear about your mum surfbabe.

I think I'll join the £20 challenge if I may. I'll be the strongest of the lot of you......... as I'll be propping you all up at the bottom of the table :rotfl:. Still, 2 NSD's already, although may have to buy fish & chips tomorrow. Going somewhere renowned for it, would be rude not to :o

I see, I have heard other things about Mad Men, also with similar superlatives, but if you need to forget about life and the issues surrounding it, then Glee is the one!

*note to self: look for Mad Men box sets to familiarise one self before Stargate Universe starts! :D*
 Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!

Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!

How do you amass £70k in a year?!

Good evening Hypno, hope you are well. When rotten things happen it can hurt so much it's like a thousand needles through your eyeballs. Then time passes, and with each day it's one less needle through the eye till eventually all the needles are gone and the pain has vanished. You are a long way off that yet but the day will come. You only have to compare yourself now with the way you were when you first heard the news to know how pain lessens with time. Anyway, enough of this psychobabble nonsense, I wholeheartedly agree with February being a spoil-yourself month. If you make your £20 last until the end of Feb then why not blow it all on treats - bit of warpaint, gorgeous bath stuff, Thorntons choccies, magazines, coffee and cake in posh cafe etc. Maybe organise a makeover - new haircut, clothes etc (go to charity shops that do top notch stuff) - the world is your lobster etc!

Note for Surfbabe - is mum in hospital for a while? If so you should be able to get reduced price car parking, I think most hospitals have a scheme like that for seriously ill or longterm patients' families.

Monthly treat is a great idea..a little of what you fancy does you good and a break for a month to let things settle is good.
Surfbabe sorry to hear about your mum x
