I'm so sorry to hear your news. I am glad though that you are in a position to be able to take on the house as that would just be a loss too far for you and the children.
Isn't life strange, its often the case that after the worst is over (the worst of the debt in your case) that things can't be held together anymore. I've had similar experiences.
I hope it was something you saw coming so it wasn't too much of a shock IYSWIM.
Take care x0 -

I didn't really see it coming, although I knew *something* wasn't right. I didn't expect that sort of a bombshell though.
On the "plus" side (oh, so easy to jest in times of woe), I have lost my appetite, so lost 9lbs in as many days.......and the decluttering is going great guns, as he takes all his stuff and some of the furniture too **sarcastic smiley definitely appropriate here**Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. You need to eat as hard as it is as you need to keep your strength up.
If you don't have much appetite at least eat some healthy, energy boosting foods.
It must be so hard on you and the children but we are all here for you anytime xxx0 -
Sorry to hear about your news. I hope you have loads of people near you to be nice and supportive as well as all the folks on here!Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30

So sorry to hear your news - the same thing happened to my Sister about 7 years ago, she just got on with it and managed fantastically well on her own with her Daughter and in some ways it was a relief for her because her husband was rubbish with money. A couple of years later he came to his senses and asked to come back and they have been fine ever since, a stint on his own seemed to make him realise what he had given up.
Obviously I don't know your situation but hope it all works out for you and your Children!
Thinking of you and hope things calm down for you all soon.0 -
So very sorry to hear your news Hypno. I have been close to something similar myself and you feel like it is living in a permanently grieved state.
I know you will get through it and well done on having secured all the the things that needed securing.
I can't add anything other than you have all your priorities right, children first then house and debts. Take care of yourselves. xxxBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Hypno - I havent posted on your diary under this name before. I had another user name on here last year and you really gave me some fantastic advice and support. I have been watching this thread with dread as it was so out of character.
I know that all people who either post or just lurk will be sending you and the children best wishes and support. Its our turn to support you as you have done all of us.
