Morning hypno and folks
Reading about your £20 challenge thingy and have a question. If its just for personal spends, choccie mags etc. do you just account for it separately as in 'I have £20 so am keeping a running total' or do you keep it separately and pay for things with it. <enter banned smiley of choice here>Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I just take out a £20 note from the cash machine and keep it in a separate part of my purse. Anything "personal" then comes from that part of the purse, and anything "general" eg milk, catfood, etc comes from the main part of my purse or via debit card payment.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi Hypno,
Hope your DS gets away with the excess baggage.
Just updated my sig for the 20k challenge (OK mine is only 5k), but surprised at how well it's going, admittedly there's been lots of 'odd' things making it go so well, but they'll dry up after the end of April. It's only from savings on budget items I have control of & mse type extras, so it doesn't include any savings we do normally from our budget.
Thanks for starting that thread Hypno, it is nice to see what I'm contributing to the household savings, rather than it all being one big pot, and you don't see what you've achieved as an individual.
Wish I could get back into matched betting, but our internet here is so dodgey, it could easily go down in the middle of the transactions!!!!
Have a good day all0 -
Hi Hypno
I hope the problem/situation gets sorted out soon and you feel much better.
Hope ds has got away with the charge and has had a fab time. Reminds me of the first holiday I went on as an adult with my sister. She kept saying you won't need that and if you pack that I won't be able to carry both cases (I'm disabled so she had to carry both and I was concerned that she wouldn't be overloaded) couldn't understand when we got there and I tried to lift it out of the way to find it so heavey. Mystery was soon solved... she had only used the space to put all her 'essential' items she couldn't fit in her case in mine, lol!0 -
Can I join the £20 challenge I actually think I don't spend very much on myself so this should be interesting to do to see if I am kidding myself or whether I am really a saint :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Mac please don't stop posting I think the comments made on the "other thread" were way out of order I appreciate your input :A

15 NSD'S is good Hypno- i may join you on the £20 challenge, i am setting Mr.B a similar challenge as well. I think he may enjoy it- a bit like sweets when you haven't had any..:)
Ahh, but they get Cadbury's making them different bars of choccy over there to what we get here. Seriously, when we were there the other weekend we saw two or three Cadbury's bars that neither of us had ever heard of! I was surprised at some stuff over there though - example, you know the McDonalds £ saver menu where they do a load of stuff for £1? Well over there, the self same things are 2 Euros - or about £1.73! There was certainly no temptation to buy anything to bring back! Lovely City though Shaun.
Fingers x'd on the excess baggage front Hypno. Oh, and I'm definately not up for the £20 challenge - no way, Jose! :rotfl:🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
