matrix999, those terms quoted are for the current tariffs which existing customers are on. I think suityou69 is describing the new tariffs to be introduced. If it is correct then it looks like I'll have to fight to keep my tariff come upgrade time :-/

I think the Terms I've quoted are for the new tariffs as there is information contained within the terms stating changes which are to take place on 1st July eg: From July 1 2006, inclusive minutes exclude all calls to 07744 and 07755 numbers, these calls will be charged 25p per minute at all times.

Although, like you say just need to wait and see.

Again ill double check to be sure but the long weekend mins are im sure xnet and geographical landline nos

    Not 0870, 0800 etc

Rollover is for 1mth on £35+ and freevoicemail and ITS services are free on £35+ too, so downside is used to be £30 a month for free voicemail, rollover ITS etc now its £35 but you get long weekends :)

The non geographical numbers calling on o2 stops on the 1st July as per the recent change in the terms and conditions, so they wont be incl full stop but for uk xnet and landline its a good deal i think
This is all so confusing. I am now looking at getting a cashback deal from either cpw or mobileshop-are these retail tariffs and are they going to change in July as described here?
I want an O2 tarif that allows use of 0800, 0845, 0870 numbers from inclusive minutes and from what I've heard here this will no longer be allowed. This is worse isn't it?

Suityou69 which dept of O2 do you work for?

Id sooner not say which dept i work for :)

Ok 1stly my apologies, the only numbers that will not be incl are the "calling card" type numbers, 0870 etc will stay the same only ones excl are the ones 02 are going to stop on the 1st of July not anything else.

Apologies about that people totally my misunderstanding, as far as waiting goes its up too you really, if you want the new deals then yes, if you like the old ones then no.

The only major advantage i can see is before the 1st of July 750 xnet mins and 150 messages for £35 per month with 3mths rollover is quite a good one and wont be here after that

The only downside as i see it is that rollover, free voicemail, its rates etc will move from £30 to £35 after the new ones start but ull get the weekend call option added so up to you really id have a think about how many mins you need and if the bulk of calls is on the weekend. If so id think about waiting if not and the current options are better for ya get in there and sign on the dotted line :)

Will these new deals affect the price of new handsets,as in charging more for them? im after the n80 and may now wait till the 13th,as the tariff im after only offers 100mins/100txt @£25 month, but if i wait i will get 125 mins/100txt,plus weekend calls for no extra charge!

Thanks for all the info suityou69 :T

I'm also interested to know what handsets will be available free on the new tariffs. Do you know for the £35 a month tariff?

The free weekend mins are only on tarrifs of £35 a month or more, as for handset deals i can only assume the new launched handsets like N80, E900 and the like will come down a little in price in line with the new drop in prices on the higher tarrifs but nothing definitive as yet......

As ever ill post more as and when i find out, only other thing too add is the big push in the 1st week of July promoting the new Pirates of the carribean movie, theres a limited new red samsung handset on the way as part of the big push along with free dvds and other stuff
