According to the Good Food magazine, the best one is called Valrhona. You can get it from Waitrose. Quite expensive mind. Not tried it yet, but will get some next time I see a Waitrose and try it in ice-cream. It might be overkill for muffins though! :)
SIMPLE SIMON - Met a pie man going to the fair. Said Simple Simon to the pie man, "What have you got there?" Said the pie man unto Simon, "Pies, you simpleton!"

I used Morrisons cheapest "value", one packet of dark, and 3/4 pack of milk, because thats what I happened to have in.
Worked great for me ... I would guess it would be even better with all dark chocolate.

Bagged a bargain K-chef, and yesterday made the loveliest, creamiest and fluffiest (sp?) mashed potato I’ve ever had! So today I had to make…. (those on a diet look away now:p )

… Brownies. Not just any brownies, but triple choc brownies, and OMG were they goooood! The recipe said they were going to be chewy and melt in the mouth. But I really didn’t think they’d be that good!:T :D I probably got something like 40 little 1x1 inch squares, and after two of my boys digging into them, I had to hide them in the cupboard before DH comes home. I had hoped that they would last until tomorrow, but as soon as he comes in the house he’s going to smell the yummy brownies… And I thought I’d just share the recipe with the rest of you. This is really one to impress with! Well, I’d be impressed, but I’d eat just about anything with chocolate in it:o !

Godders makes the best chocolate brownies ever, they not only have big chunks of gooey milk chocolate, but he also puts chunks of white chocolate in too!

However he's got to learn to adapt his recipe now for a wheat free brownie! :rolleyes:icon11.gif

Have just started to make brownies and have come across a problem - the recipe states 6oz or 170g but I was going to measure in ounces and haven't got enough choc even tho I've got 2 x 100g bars - I thought 1oz was approx 25g - which measurements did those who make the brownies use?

Hope this reads as sense - not sure it does to me but I know what I mean!

    Help please!
