I've just made some and they are good, but not as good as the eggy ones -a bit crumbly. We'll have them warm with ice cream and chocolate sauce - well, it is Sunday ;) Thanks again Noozan :)

Bagged a bargain K-chef, and yesterday made the loveliest, creamiest and fluffiest (sp?) mashed potato I’ve ever had! So today I had to make…. (those on a diet look away now:p )

… Brownies. Not just any brownies, but triple choc brownies, and OMG were they goooood! The recipe said they were going to be chewy and melt in the mouth. But I really didn’t think they’d be that good!:T :D I probably got something like 40 little 1x1 inch squares, and after two of my boys digging into them, I had to hide them in the cupboard before DH comes home. I had hoped that they would last until tomorrow, but as soon as he comes in the house he’s going to smell the yummy brownies… And I thought I’d just share the recipe with the rest of you. This is really one to impress with! Well, I’d be impressed, but I’d eat just about anything with chocolate in it:o !

That looks like my kind of website, bookmarked! I'll defintely have a crack at these as I was looking to buy some from Lidl but stopped myself thinking it wasn't very OS.

If I made them I would probably only get 10 out of that mix :D

Well, shop bought are sometimes ok (Sainsburys do some really good ones in the bakery section), but there's nothing like HM brownies when they've cooled down but the chocolate chunks are still gooey.... mmmmm

Cant disagree with that. A girl at work sometimes brings them in for us and they are quite nice. From Costco I think. I usually bung them in the micro for a few seconds to warm up a bit as that refreshers them and makes them nicer!

I used plain flour, and they came out great! If you use self raising flour, I suppose they might come out a little "lighter" or with more air in them. They are supposed to be heavy, which is probably why there's no other raising agent like bicarb or baking powder.
