I wonder if you can help. My brownie tray bake has only just made it out of the aga it took much longer than it should have. I am shattered though and need to go to bed.
Would anyone be able to let me know how best to cool it and cover it.
Would it sweat if I put foil on top. Grease proof paper?
Many thanks0 -

I'd lay baking paper or kitchen roll over the top and leave it on the side till morning.0

is it wrong that i would just leave it as is?Opinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.0

Just laid a tea towel over a batch of carrot cup cakes and a tea loaf as really CBA to do anything else with them. Doing Cakefest (basically covering the dining table with a bunch of cakes and having a drop in for friends instead of a more formal 'birthday party') for DD's birthday on Sunday so will be baking a-plenty til then.0

I'd just cover it with a biit of baking paper and leave it. It cuts far better when cold anyway, and you really want a nice crust to form on the top I use a very thin wire from an old cheese cutter to cut up brownies neatly.Better than a knife unless you have a very sharp on0

I'd leave it as it is.. or if you cant bear to just put a clean tea towel over it. I regularly leave stuff in the oven to cool overnight.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
