  • I usually buy the throwaway foil trays from the pound shop about 12"x9" or a little smaller is ideal.HTH

  • The mix is:
    4.5 cups flour
    3 tsp baking powder
    3tsp salt
    6 cups sugar
    6oz cocoa

I use it to make the cookies (500g mix, 2 eggs, 125ml oil) but I never copied out the brownie version - the mix was the same though - can you remember it from there?

Think I was thinking of the best ever choc cookies - although there was a brownie version - apologies for any confusion

  • Hello Folks!

My 13 year old daughter needs a recipe for food technology.
She is intolerant of Dairy and Soya, but can have anything else.

Has anyone got a nice recipe that can be completed in 1 hour?

    Always love your suggestions :T

  • I've just googled 'vegan brownies' and this one looks good;)

Or this one using a dairy-free marge and dairy-free chocolate-I think most dark chocolate is milk-free. Kinnerton do a dairy, egg, nut and soya free dark choc bar available at Waitrose.
  • Thanks for that thriftlady!

I don't think of her being vegan, but I suppose she is.

    many thanks
  • Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to make chocolate brownies without using actual chocolate? I'm not completely mad, I have cocoa powder, along with normal store cupboard stuff like brown sugar, flour, vanilla, marg, eggs, maple syrup, small amount golden syrup etc. Its just that OH was moaning that he wants something chocolatey and I'm trying to use what we have rather than buy new stuff but know if I don't make something he'll just buy chocolate from the shop. Anyway if chocolate brownies aren't possible, any good chocolatey cake/biscuit etc recipes would be greatly appreciated, thankyou in advance. x
