Hi all,
I ordered a dsi from games basement beginning of April, item never recieved so after numerous phone calls and empty promises of next day delivery I cancelled the order.
Money for the item was taken from my account already...roll on May still no refund, contacted them they said they were anaware of the cancellation and would be refunded within 30 working days and guess what!! Yes i'm still awaiting the refund four months on
I paid with a debit card so not sure if could somehow claim it back not sure how all that works:( but will have to look into it.
I did read reviews on these people but unfortunately only seen the good ones dont understand how they are allowed to go on trading

You may find that in a few days your card will be cancelled by your bank.

I have just finally received a refund of £194.99 from a chargeback from my credit card for a purchase I made in May. Make sure you contact your card provider and they should be able to put you through to the right place.

I ordered an item back in March, still waiting for a refund for a non delivered item...Been onto consumer direct, sent them registered delivery letters with my complaints along with all the info given to me by consumer direct and still didn`t get a refund. If i took them to court i would have to pay all costs up front until i won my case...Ended up having to go through the Bank to get a refund which can take up to 3 months..Beware of this company they are liars and thieves...Customer service are the most ignorant people i`ve ever had the displeasure of talking to.

An absolute disgrace..Just wish i lived neared to these scumbags so i could pay them a visit

ordered a small item on June 2011 for my son - his pocket money. emailed to chase after 1 month... got a polite reply saying they had stock problems. now fed up waiting and see they debited the money despite everything about them saying they onky debit in despatch - surprisingly ......(not) my subsequent emails requesting an immediate refund have been ignored! I'd be grateful for a phone number/alternative email address other than order@games... info@ .....

Thank you
• I tried to order from them today and my card wouldn't go through. Tried ringing and the number was not recognised, which sent out warning bells, so I checked reviews and found loads of horror stories. Hopefully they haven't taken money off my card, it was only for £12.99 but I did try it 3 times before trying to ring them! Has anyone else had the same problem?
• Hi,

Given the number of posts it amazes me Gamesbasement are still trading. I contacted trading standards who had no interest in following up my complaint.
I have set up an email address:
IHAVENOTRECEIVEDMYORDERFROMGAMESBASEMENT@hotmail.co.uk

Please send an email to the above with subject laid out as
: surname, amount paid, date order placed.

I am hoping to get plenty of emails which I will then forward on mass to various bodies, trading standards, watchdog, sky news my MP,, 10 downing street, HMRC, (they are taking VAT but possibly not paying VAT) and anyone else I can think off.

Perhaps if these bodies rec alot of emails hopefully hundreds within a few minutes somebody will take some decisive action.
Please forward link to all your friends and work colleagues as I suspect there are thousands of people who are awaiting reciept of orders/refunds.

Try the Daily mail, they have already been in touch with them
• Hi,

I've had similar issues with this company similarly to everyone else. I have just spoken to consumer direct who have advised me that there is an application for a 'strike-off' which means they are about to go into liquidation. If you're thinking of trying to get your money by any means, do it quickly or you'll have to apply to the administrator!!!
• ordered a dsi with them last year november 2010 cannot believe they are still trading they should have been outed long ago...where are the investigating teams from these television programes? they would have a field day!plus they would make everyone aware of this scam!
