Hi,
I'm just adding my experience of gamesbasement, I have had similar woes to everyone else ordered wii fit for my sisters Christmas on the 9th December, eventually turned up on the 30th December. They were quick enough to take the money out of my account the day I placed the order. I also placed a few calls (where false promises were made about delivery dates) and sent several emails (which remain unanswered). I wrote a lengthy complaint email to them requesting some compensation, all I got back was no sorry we can't do that have 1000 customer points - which is worth about £4!!![TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM]Wins

I placed my order on 26th November and I still haven't recieved anything ! E mails go unanswered and the phones are dead. I shall be contacting trading standards. Although I doubt it will do much good.0

Just thought I'd update you on my situation,

Have logged a complaint with trading standards.0 -
It makes you wonder if some of these posts are from competitors, as games basement offer cheaper prices than them and offer free delivery too. Maybe they cannot compete and are trying to tarnish their good name? I read an article that amazon pay their customers to revert they negative feedback for a £5. So would you trust them if things went wrong?
I was looking for somewhere to leave my positive comment as my experience was different altogether. I ordered a new PS3 console for my husband for Christmas. yes they did take my money from my credit card when i placed the order, but don't other small companies do that too? My order came in time for Christmas and you should have seen his face on Christmas day!!!
I never got around thanking them because it was so difficult to get one in such short notice. I believe they import from the US direct to the UK and I didn't have to pay any additional money for import or delivery. Everything is free.
Would I recommend them? Yes I would. 5 out of 5 stars.
thank you0 -
Another update, phoned them on monday to ask when we would be getting the psp,psp game and wii game, they said the games were out of stock but the psp would be sent straight away. Psp turned up tuesday!!!!! I have faith that the games will turn up once in stock, but still feel very let down by them, as I said before everything was ordered on the 7th dec and all items were apparently in stock then.

Another update:
Received an email on the 26th saying they have refunded me for one of the games?!!!! Don't want a refund,I want the game!!!!
Emailed them today saying I want both games and when would I be receiving them? They have since sent an email back (within 2 hrs, impressive for them!!!) saying they are looking into it all?
Phoned trading standards again as they said to keep them informed,I told them that I had posted on here and that there were others not happy with them. They said to get as many people to ring up with their complaints about them -tel 0845040506 quote ref-SE2576373

Have you actually received the refund though? I've been promised three times in writing that my money has been returned via their accounts department, and still nothing is showing a month after their first assurance. It'd be good to confirm that they actually know how to refund!0 -

Very interesting. I got a similar email too, saying that they couldn't refund my credit card (and they asked if I'd changed my card since placing the order - no, I haven't) and so they would be sending me a cheque for the full amount. They also specified 7 working days before delivery.
What are they buying themselves time for, I wonder...?0
