Overdue baby, what to do in the meantime?

  • Millions of people eat spicy food all the time and do not go into labour because of it. best wishes.

I thought the exact same thing. If that was the case then surely India would be full of premature and bang-on-time babies, with no-one ever going overdue???

These things are fun to try (maybe not 5 pineapples, but the sex, well it's fun until you squish your partner or realise that your legs just wont go that way anymore or run out of puff 3mins in!) but you will only go into labour when it's time. Best to just spend the time relaxing and drinking water.

So now I have to ask the great question....

    Have you not popped yet?

I hated the "have you had your baby yet?" phone calls. I just used to say yes, of course I have!

I went 2 weeks over with my Son and ended up being induced. I would recommend filling your day with trips to see family/friends for coffee, window shopping etc... You have something to look forward to and it's better to cancel things lol!

mumslave, my son is called Ellis, I love the name and it's not one I've heard anyone use it!

Its a lovely name, I chose it because its the maiden name of my step mother and my step grandparents, my granny in particular I was very fond of. I would have had it as a first name, but I had some problems in this pregnancy and for a while it looked like Noah would be born between 18-24 weeks of pregnancy...we wanted a name meaning survivor and my particular problem was to do with hemorraging, so we went for Noah, surviver of the floods. As it happened, all turned out fine in the end :D
