How's it going Airhostess? Are you still waiting or has Bump landed?0

I think she may have had baby...
Just in case not, I feel your 'pain' LOL, DD2 and baby were both about 3 weeks over. With DD2 it threw me a bit but with baby I pretty much expected it so just carried on as normal.
I actually did lots of self-hypnosis both for relaxation and in preparation for the birth which helped somewhat if you're into that?Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

hi everyone.... amazingly, it hasn't happened yet. 12 days over now.
Am seeing the midwife tomorrow 1st thing for plan B if it hasn't happened by the morning. It's 3am, I can't sleep and have got up for a hot chocolate in the hope it will make me doze off again...( and a sneaky peak of MSE!)Your thread has made me feel a bit better, enjoy these last few days of being able to have some 'me time' and ensuring bubs is fully cooked and ready.
LOL, it's going to come out burnt!!
We've been trying some acupressure points, in my feet & legs, as we found some handy videos on You Tube which definitely gave me some funny feelings in what I think is my cervix, so must be something in it, though I don't think my husband was doing it properly or for long enough to actually make anything major happen.
But after the midwife goes tomorrow I will get some clary sage and nipple thing (forgot about that one!!) And will also google some self hypnosis things... does anyone know of any good online videos or resources to try?
From my experience though I do think the mistake I made was letting it get me stressed from day one (23rd Dec, which was due date, I did feel quite disappointed.) I can't help feeling if I'd been a lot more chilled out it would have happened already... which is not a lot of help to me now now but if you are a few days past your date then just try to forget all about it and keep very physically active and distract yourself with lots of things!!
Baby is def still growing, and so is bump, which is slightly worrying as I really feel I am about to pop. Everyone is joking that the baby will come out reading & writing... hope it's making the most of it's time in there and learning some extra skills lol!!0 -
Hey dont blame yourself, stressing out can bring on labour as much as stop it :rotfl: I have never gone overdue, so I dont claim to know how you must be feeling except guess that I would be much the same.
One suggestion I forgot to make....each time I went into labour was two days after going for an all you can eat chinese buffet (no joke!) I told the midwife this and she said, your body needs something like 10000 calories to see it through labour, so it could be all that eating that brought labour on! Or perhaps she just wanted to make me feel better for totally gorging out. Either way, anything's worth a shot isnt it.
I hope things happen for you very very soon (well they will anyways, you cant be pregnant forever, but you know what I mean)

I feel for you Airhostess. I went 15 days over with Henry, and it was miserable. Everyone drove me mad, ringing and asking if anything was happening. I have never been so uncomfortable in my whole life and I could hardly get any sleep!
I tried everything that was suggested to bring on labour and nothing worked. I walked, I stayed active, I stayed hydrated. I ate pineapple, curry, had sex, walked up and down stairs, drank raspberry leaf tea and took evening primrose oil. Nothing worked for me, and in the end I was induced. It annoys me a little bit when people seem to think you should be doing more to bring on labour, as I really believe that if you and bubs aren't ready, nothing will help.
Not long to go now though, whatever happens. When will they induce you (if you don't go before)? All I can say is that it is so worth it. I ended up have an EMCS but even a week after that I felt better and more mobile than I had for the last two months of pregnancy and even with a newborn I was getting more sleep than when I was pregnant too.
Good luck and don't forget to let us know how it all goes.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

I went over with babysaver i turned off my phone and my kids and hubby were under strict instructions to screen all phone calls. babies come when they are ready for the most part.
every time anyone said to me 'have a curry' or 'eat pineapple' i wanted to say f*** off! Millions of people eat spicy food all the time and do not go into labour because of it. best wishes.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
