Actually I just double checked my stats. In the past 30 days I only sold 6 books and 25 in 90 days so it is worse than I thought especially as I have just 4 feedback in those 90 days.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I was listing yesterday but it looked the same as always for me? Maybe they are rolling out a new system and I'm just not good enough to be on the new one yet.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Might it be because I'm no longer a pro merchant seller? I obviously don't get the opportunity to enter a SKU so perhaps my listing pages will remain on the old style for a while? I have lots of books here to list and will do them later so I will let you know if my listing page has changed yet.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you list items by going to an existing listing and click on the "Got one for sale? Click here" button then I think you still get the old system, but when making a listing or inputting an ISBN you get the new system. They're both fine, IMHO, except the new system dumps you into your inventory with a box showing what you've just listed stuck on top. I have to kill the window quickly or the computer pauses while it loads all the inventory information I didn't want, which is a tad annoying when you're busy.
I've found Amazon quieter than usual, two weekends ago I only sold two items, which is dire, but that's not unexpected considering the economic situation.
I'm going to have to set up some kind of front-end business since Amazon alone isn't cutting it. My books do sell, but they're the kind of thing that will never be licensed for kindle, and I sell several types of item which give a better spread.
The problem is finding things which the world and his wife aren't going for, and a lot of them aren't suitable for Amazon (or online selling in general), so it's starting to bite.0 -
I've just listed a few books through the 'sell your stuff' link and still get the old page, so it is either on a slow roll out or else not being a pro seller has something to do with it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I'm not a pro-seller (Sales of around 1 CD every 5 days or so) (so only that tab is open to me). But then I've just noticed this on the Seller Headlines area:
Editing listings in Manage Inventory
5 Jul 2011
When editing listing information in Manage Inventory, some sellers may notice that all of their listing data appears on a new Offer tab. With this new design, you’ll also see some additional tabs which are only accessible to sellers with Pro Merchant subscriptions.
Please note that this new format is being introduced gradually, so for a short time some sellers may continue to see the old format.0
