  • I have finally received my copy of the happy hooker and it is fab! I couldn't get my head round V stitch or shells at all from the mag but I've got the hang on them both in an afternoon from the book :)

I might be ready to try an actual project soon :D
  • Greenpixey has kindly pointed me in the direction of this thread. I learned how to make a chain yesterday. Currently I have a ball of chain approx 3 meters in length! I'm off to read the thread for inspiration on where to learn some other stitches.

thats really quick! I thought they would take alot longer.

The Moog - what you planning on doing first? I was looking at crochet books in the library today and some had really fab clothes in. Going to try to get to the main library this week and see if they have any others. I think I need a book as I can still only do single stitches!!!

arkonite babe - there are loads of tutorials on youtube for crochet. thats how i learnt as i have got the art of crochet but cant get my head round it and given up on that now!

Just got 1/2 an arm, 2 legs and 2 ears to finish on my teddy. Hopefully he will be finished tonight.

    Hi nuttybabe,
if you get to the library look for a book called ''Adorable crochet for babies and toddlers''. I got it out of mine today and it is so easy to read and has some realy cute baby items and toys to make.

I love the little shoes to make and the heart blanket is adorable. It even has a teddy and rabbit toy to make (like the one's you do :D).

It has little drawings showing what stitches are used too :D (kid proof instructions :rotfl:)

Ive not got any babies to make things for but I thought if I start with small things I may be able to crochet myself something soon :rotfl:
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

No, its by Lesley Stanfield and has a pic of a little girl wearing a chunky blue jacket with cloured pattern strip throught the middle.

It say's on the front 22 projects to make for babies from birth to two years.

    Its this one :D

I found a super duper easy heart pattern. Perhaps someone can use it for Valentine
I just made this and it took less than an hour.
