Just looking into buying/selling and arranging HIP etc. Got a very reasonable online quote from Fridays Property Lawyers and the reviews i've read seem to be good but wondered if anyone has dealt with them before?
All advice welcome!

Make sure you check whether you are going to be charged extra for things like:
Acting for lender to pay off existing mortgage on sale
Acting for lender on new mortgage
Completing Stamp Duty Land Tax Form
Archive Fee
Postages, Telephones and Photocopying
Professional Indemnity Contribution.
Completing in less than 21 days from exchange of contracts.
Additional Leasehold Charge (if applicable)
This entails reading all available small print and preferably asking them to confirm that none of these matters would apply in your case.
I have looked at their website recently and there does seem to be quite a lot of explanation of things that happen in conveyancing transactions. I don't know if this is on top of, or instead of, any oral or written explanations that may be given to clients during the course of a transaction.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -

As a conveyancer I have heard good things about them - it is a good idea to have a chat with the the conveyancer who will be dealing with your transaction - that should give you reassurance. Good luck with your move.0 -
I used them for my conveyancing and HIP. They pulled out all the stops to get my house purchase completed before Christmas before the stamp duty changes and for that I cannot thank them enough.0

What was the cost that they charged you??
And what did they originally quote for you??

Nothing to do with Wolstenholmes are they?
Funny how low count posters are suddenly coming out of the woodwork and pushing this company since the demise of Wolstenholmes.
I would be very careful if I was you as they may have involvement or be starting up again under another name?0 -

I have not seen anything that links them with WH so fingers crossed. I am going to use them for HIP first and see how it goes. I need and buyer first before i start worrying about conveyancing!0

I've had dealings with them once last month in our office. The vendor had chosen them because they were cheap and they managed to complete in 4 weeks! It helped that there was only two in the chain as well. They did everything via e-mail just about to the purchasers solicitorTo love and be loved is the greatest happiness of existance - Sydney Smith0
