Well, I've found somewhere I want to move. :)
Now I just need to get my room and the house to look so nice, the first person to see it will want to live there. I'm meeting my new landlady this evening to talk about moving in dates and to give half of the deposit and a reference. Spoke to my current landlord this morning asd he'll start the ball rolling and probably gets viewing for Wednesday.

I love the new flat, my room is lovely and the living room is nice. Kitchen is bit tiny, but has washing machine, tumble drier and small dishwasher and will do for 2 people. Bathroom has no bath, just a powershower and toilet, but I can live with that. Garden is huge. The lady living there also has a fish tank and two cats! Will be loving having some animal life again. Rent is at the top of my budget, but I will manage it.

That is such great news. So glad you found somewhere that you like :)

It's still not ideal, in a way that I'd really like to live with my BF, but things he's said in the last couple of days, make me think, that that's never going to happen. :( I'm trying not to think about it, but I know I must face it soon. My plan is to just forget about all the problems for a bit, move, go to Ireland with him and then seriously talk about things with him.

Atm we're planning a walking holiday to possibly Slovenia (well, started to talk about it) and I'd really love to go. But do I really want to spend a lot of money on holiday with a man who doesn't obviously appreciate me enough? Anyway, I will promise that I won't talk about it anymore, until I've had a talk with him sometime this year...

Don't feel bad about talking about it on here - sometimes it is good to get things off our chest on here because people can give an objective view on things. The main thing is that you know you have to have the discussion with him.

My view - and this is for any relationship - not just yours, is that you have to move on to the next level after a while; or at least say you will within a certain period of time. My concerns for you is that you are getting no commitment for a future together, so it's no wonder you are feeling unsettled. When is the trip to Ireland?

I did a 200km trek through Slovenia in 1997 and it was amazing. The country is so beautiful and the hospitality of the people was unbelievable. Went back there in 2004 but this was more of a relaxing holiday. Still loved it :)

Thanks CMD. Trip to Ireland is end of March. But at points, I feel like exploding, because I really need to get these things spoken about.

I agree with the relationship thing. It must move forward until certain level is achieved. I always meet these really great guys that are emotionally screwed up. :( So unfair as I really, really like him.

Ooh, your trek through Slovenia sounds amazing! Maybe you could tell me more about it, give tips etc. You can either pm me or I'll give you my hotmail address.

Mine was with the scouts and we (myself and my trek partner) were basically dropped off in the middle of nowehere (with blackened out windows) and we had to find out where we were and plot a 200km route back to base camp, so don't think I could give you a planned route map, as we weren't necessarily taking in all the tourist attractions. We had a tent and £60 to last us ten days and a letter (in Slovenian) to explain what we were doing. The idea was that we were to be as resourceful as possible and try to sleep on people's land etc.

Well, we came back with £50 and slept in random people's houses for 9 nights (out of the ten). They all fed us and even shops and pubs gave us free refreshments. I was only 20 at the time but it was an amazing experience as we had no mobiles or anything like that!

It was one of the coolest things I have done and I was so fit when I came back. It certainly gave me a love of Eastern Europe and for travelling there :)

Two places you should defo go to are Ljubljana and Bled. They are lovely. There are also lots of mountains and lakes (Lake Bled) but I would highly recommend it as a country to visit. I defo have a soft spot for it.
