Aaaarrrggghh!!!!! It's finally happened...I've reached 10st! :o If I have any excuses then it's the fact that I've been ill twice and missed at least 3 weeks of exercise but still eaten well. It's not really the weight that matters to me but the fat! I guess it's not really that bad as I can still fit in my clothes but being a stone over your usual weight is not good! To embarrass myself publicly should do the trick of getting back on track with eating and exercising though the latter will be bit more difficult now as I need to concentrate on finding that new job. And that's why I have today off work. Lots of applications need to be sent off and calls made to agencies. Wish me luck!

My new mobile should arrive today too. But don't you worry, it's going to be a lot cheaper than my current phone;bf found a really good deal and I'm finally getting a better phone,HTC Wildfire I think.

Anyway, less of this and more off the job hunting. Will check in now and again. Hope you all have a good day!

hi tirl - dont be so hard on yourself - I am over 3.5 stone above my target weight even after I've just lost a stone! You can easily kick those 14lbs into touch just by restarting your exercise programme and just checking on your diet....

Good luck with the weight loss and job hunting

Hard days work joining agencies and jobsites online, writing personal statements and all that crap. And the first rejection!:( Well, have about 8 applications to fill...but soon it'll be rest time, the hardest work is now behind.

    Thanks saving.

Ok, so debt hasn't moved that much since last time, 0.5%, but I've been only paying the minimum payment atm. I've checked with Santander about my 0% deal ending date and it's 16th of April. Best bet atm is to call virgin and see if I can get it on the 6.9% for life deal.

Not done any job hunting since my dad's been here, but he left very early this morning and I have today off so will be doing that today. Bf took my dad to the airport about 5am this morning and I couldn't get to sleep afterwards so got up half 6,really unheard of for me. So just taking it easy now and slowly starting the day.

    Hello all. I'm back!
Had a lovely week with my dad here, but thank god he's gone now. ;)
Did a lot of walking and a run every day he was here,so have started on the weight loss business.

Yesterday we went for a lovely walk with bf to Brecon Beacons. Did the horse shoe round Cribin,Pen-y-Fan and Corn Du. The two steep ascents to the first two were bit hard and could definitely tell how unfit I am at the moment cos we went soooo slow! We're supposed to join bf's family to do the 3 peaks in Yorkshire at the end of May,that's round 25miles so need to go on walks every weekend to get fit and actually to be able to do it.

On debt front I've made bit of progress sorting things out. Got a 0% deal from old tesco card till Oct'11 statement (2.99% transfer fee but not much choice). Virgin didn't give me anything so reduced my credit limit by nearly 4k. That should help later on. I still have to find a place for the last £500 from santander zero card as 0% deal on that ends in mid April but bf has already offered to give me at least 9.9% deal so that would do for the time being. Will pay off hsbc cc today, used it to buy football tickets when my dad was here. Just really need to stop using it, but can't afford to cut it up cos that's the only card I can use normally, all others are strictly balance transfer ones.

So, cards should look like this soon (or thereabouts):

    Virgin £2078.65 - 6.9% life of balance
    Santander CC £1075.00 - 0% 16 months
    Santander Zero £471.12 - 0% still,going to 18.9%
    Tesco £1425.00 - 0% till October

Tesco BT has gone through from their end but hasn't come off Zero card yet. There's £1467.29 on tesco cc with bt fee of £42.61 (minus 32p credit that was lurking on the card for ages) so Zero should soon be £471.12. I don't have access online to my santander cards yet but I keep ringing the phoneline every day from work to check on the balance.

Pay day today. Did 2 days of sunday o/t before and got just over £100 extra! :) Very nice!!! It's gone straight to the other account for savings when we move/I have to pay my bike. Have enough saved now that I'll have the whole of last months wages (when ever that will be) but probably not enough for deposit yet, but that can be organised. :)
