I got lucky, got a cancellation place for physio next Monday. Couldn't be better timing as we have training on Monday nights and I'll now if I can go or not and what I can do. The first indoor tournament (pre-season) is next weekend but have to see if I can play in that one or not, might be too much.
3 day yesterday at new flat. Still lot to sort out. Why does it take so long? Feels like all I've done is cooked, washed up,moved boxes, emptied boxes etc. It's so nice to be in your own place though, been waiting for this for awhile. At least we now have wardrobe, sofa and two bookcases. We really do need another double wardrobe even if we are getting a half one this weekend. Will also get a dining table and another bookcase and then we can put the desk up as well cos that connects to the bookcase.
It's all still very exciting though hard work and wish we'd already be settled in there with everything in it's own place. Financially struggling a bit. Ex flatmate won't give my deposit back until the month's notice is gone, on 17th. She's obviously used my deposit money and has to save it up before she gives it to me. Bit unfair as she didn't want another flatmate and I've vacated the room. Have to be bit careful though as I don't have a proper contract or anything. Should've known better. Then again, I think I should've told her I was planning to move out and that we're looking at places with bf, but bf said don't cos didn't know how long it would take to find a place. Never mind, after I get my deposit, I don't need to see the woman ever again, thank god!DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Had a nice and productive if exhausting weekend. Friday evening drove to Herefordshire to pick up friend's van, then up to North Wales. Saturday fetched the wardrobe, big round chair, bookcase, more kitchen stuff, tools, some draws etc and loaded the van. Saturday night bf sanded top of the table we got for free as it was black and all ouf stuff is beech in the kitchen/living room. Sunday late morning headed back to Cardiff which took us longer than expected. Had to hurry to get tesco vouchers changed for double points then off to bf's work to order the stuff online; kettle and hoover. Picked up the bike and headed back to Herefordshire, got about 20 miles away and bf realised he forgot the car key! So off back home and up again. Got home half 11 and went straight to bed.
Had my physio today as well, took ages to take all the details down. It was a student physio and I don't know if I didn't explain well enough cos she couldn't diagnose yet, so back next week. Need to rearrange the day though as Friday is no good for me and didn't realise it when I made the appointment.
Flat is a tip as stuff everywhere, hopefully get it tidied up this week.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Just made a huge POA list and lost it
.
Anyway, have now made the penultimate payment to my student loan. Last one should go out early December and then I'll only have my to cc's to pay off. It'll will slow down a bit cos I want to do some stuff with bf, so I might not be DF next year, but the year after. But I'll still want to be DF before my birthday next year and will make an effort to achieve this regardless of other stuff.
Ok, let's try that poa thing again...(will save somewhere safe though before trying to post.)
POA- [STRIKE]Send a letter to enquire the amount to pay on student loan. [/STRIKE](They add interest every day, so have decided to pay off the rest on 6th of December. Pay day is on 15th, add couple of days for transfer between UK a/c's, then up to 10 days to transfer to Finland.) Oh yes, first one done!
- Help bf hang up things in flat like tv,surf board, snowboard etc. (ouf flat will look so cool;we have 3 bikes hung up on hooks in the hall, when you come up the stairs, you'll see a snowboard mounted up above your head and if you turn around, that's where the surf board will be, above the stairs
).
- Tidy up kitchen and find places for all new kitchen stuff we brought with us from North Wales.
- Put all clothes away in the wardrobes, under the bed, out of the way anywhere to make bedroom nice and tidy.
- In spare bedroom, try to get rid of all the boxes and find a place for the contents somewhere.
- Assemble spare bed frame so stuff can go under the bed even though we don't have a mattress for it yet.
- Tidy living room and remove things that aren't supposed to be there; find a place for them.
- Collect deposit tomorrow night from old place and collect spare bike at the same time.
- When deposit in hand, give bf half of this month's rent.
- Pay rest of money in a/c asap as on o/d atm.
Might do TADA list like savingh when I get some of these things done.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
tirlittan, possibly the world's stupidest question, but are you Finnish? As in, can you speak the language? I'm trying to find the best way to learn it so after I finish uni I can hopefully move over there to be with my boyfriend and just wondered if you knew any good ways of learning it....I'm not doing too bad (I can understand simple phrases and answer questions, just the verbs that flummox me!)** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
**SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

My ex flatmate is off her rocker. She definitely suffers from something and is loopy as hell. I'm so glad I got rid of her.
Was supposed to meet up on Monday night, then she text saying it wasn't good for her could we meet on Tuesday. That was better for me too so agreed. Tuesday she text me reminding to bring both set of keys when we meet. I didn't replay as didn't see any need. In the evening I text her asking if after 8 was good. She answered back saying that as I didn't reply to her text earlier she made other arrangements and it wasn't convenient. I called her and she was bit arsey, arranged to meet for tonight (wed). Decided to go to the flat anyway to get my bike. She was there with a friend. She didn't seem too happy to see me. But I have paid till 17th of this month and she hasn't given me deposit back so am allowed. And she's already put all her stuff in 'my' bedroom. On the phone she also said she wanted to talk to me. Don't know what about but if she tries to swindle me off any of my money, she has another thing coming. Can't wait to get her out of my life!!!! Sorry, rant over.:oDEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

Ha ha savingh
. I'm sure your sister's fine compared to this fruitcake.
Well, I got £300 out of the £330. And let this be a warning to all with dodgy landlords! The thing is, when I moved, I was desperate to get out where I was and had already given notice and gotten someone else in my room when this woman let me know that it would be all cash in hand etc, no proper agreement or anything. I wasn't happy, but what could I do?
So anyway, last night went as follows. She texted me asking if I could meet her in a pub. Thought nothing of it and agreed. Got there bit late but she wasn't there yet;close to where she lives anyway. Texted her saying I was there, she sent a text back saying 2 mins. 5 mins later her bf turns up with an envelope saying she had a last minute meeting (yeah, of course). Did she really think I wouldn't count the money? Said it was short, tried to call her but she'd turned her phone off. Said I wasn't happy and I'd come back tomorrow to sort it out with her. Her bf said he would go and see if he could get the rest, then called me back saying the £30 cos I hadn't cleaned and the oven was dirty. Went away, had to do something else in the are, but then decided better take the £300, otherwise might not get anything. Now I'm gonna hassle her till the end of the month,on principle. She didn't even have the guts to come and meet me face to face and tell me she wasn't gonna give me all the deposit back though she's got my rent till the 17th. And her bf said she's now going to get someone else in after all. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Well, at least I've got £300 of her even if I don't get anymore, but it ain't over yet!DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0
