Ha ha savingh :). I'm sure your sister's fine compared to this fruitcake.

Well, I got £300 out of the £330. And let this be a warning to all with dodgy landlords! The thing is, when I moved, I was desperate to get out where I was and had already given notice and gotten someone else in my room when this woman let me know that it would be all cash in hand etc, no proper agreement or anything. I wasn't happy, but what could I do?

So anyway, last night went as follows. She texted me asking if I could meet her in a pub. Thought nothing of it and agreed. Got there bit late but she wasn't there yet;close to where she lives anyway. Texted her saying I was there, she sent a text back saying 2 mins. 5 mins later her bf turns up with an envelope saying she had a last minute meeting (yeah, of course). Did she really think I wouldn't count the money? Said it was short, tried to call her but she'd turned her phone off. Said I wasn't happy and I'd come back tomorrow to sort it out with her. Her bf said he would go and see if he could get the rest, then called me back saying the £30 cos I hadn't cleaned and the oven was dirty. Went away, had to do something else in the are, but then decided better take the £300, otherwise might not get anything. Now I'm gonna hassle her till the end of the month,on principle. She didn't even have the guts to come and meet me face to face and tell me she wasn't gonna give me all the deposit back though she's got my rent till the 17th. And her bf said she's now going to get someone else in after all. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Well, at least I've got £300 of her even if I don't get anymore, but it ain't over yet!

She sounds like a horrible person. At least you got £300 though. Fancy sending the BF to do her dirty work???

I know, and he's an ok chap if bit dim. She knew she was going to get a confrantation if she didn't give me all the money. She's been messing me so much. I'll follow this up till 17th ,which is until I paid my rent for, but I'm not holding much hope of getting anymore money out of her as she is screening her calls. Can call from many phones at work though...Will give up after that though as it's not worth my time and will want rid of her and just forget about it. I think she swindles a lot of her things, that's just the kind of dodgy person she is.

Well she's finally taken my call. But she says she's taken £30 out cos it took her 2.5 hours to clean the oven not to mention living room and kitchen. Didn't say to my face though that she wasn't happy about the clenliness of the place. As I've paid uptil 17th she should've let me know and I would've come and cleaned.

And the fact is,she let me think that she was coming to meet me last night, then sent her bf instead, didn't say upfront that she'd taken money out, but only found out by counting it,then didn't take my call at the time and she's only spoken to me now cos I've been ringing her all day and she's fed up.

I'm not going to see rest of my deposit, guess should be thankful in a way that she's only taken n£30 and would love to just drop it now and forget all about the crazy scammer, but I'm just going to wind her up bit longer. I know I shouldn't but she deserves it.

Hi Savingh. I know you're right about ex flatmate, I think I will just leave it. I've moved on and karma will get her one day.

Was very pleased with myself that I managed to finally use free listing day on Ebay and list my camera bodies and lenses. Unfortunately, haven't used ebay so long that I forgot you can't list via turbo lister free anymore. It only cost me £3.30 for 11 items and I have a few wathcers on 4 of the items so should be good. One of the similar lenses went for over £100 yesterday so fingers crossed. Tbh,I'd be happy with half that.

Another physio appointment today. Need to look at bit more info online to help them make their diagnose. They seem to have problems with that cos nothing hurts me anymore, I just know it's not quite right. I've been 6 weeks off now without playing volleyball and I really need to get back soon. First game is on second weekend of October and need to get some training in before that as well.

    Thanks CMD.
It's nice to check sometimes and realise how far you've come. In reality, I've paid over £10k, unfortunately there's that pesky interest that keeps being in the way of clearing more.

    half way is good....

I've lost track but think I am about half way on my original debt but not necessarily on the paper hat one but that was due to the addition of a car loan from MIL which was unavoidable...

In despair. Why is life so difficult? Why is money always an issue?

Got paid today, but because I was on o/d,after all the bills, rent, debt repayments, I will have £59.23 until next pay day. :( And I haven't taken away what I owe to myself. I don't mind if I can't put money towards my next haircut, or clothes, or entertainment budget, but I do mind that I've had to borrow £19.72 from my DFRP (debt free reward pot). But how will I survive for food on such a little money? Especilly when bf bought quite a lot of food last month as I was bit broke then also.

I'm really pinning my hopes now on selling the stuff on ebay. It would definitely help, but would've been nice to use that money to pay 'proper' debts, not the ones I've recently created myself for no reason. Well, this weeks entertainment is free. Tonight and tomorrow night going to the cinema for free.
